For those who care, word on Belle was he was sulking in OKC. Had to move. Montgomery a young journeyman thus far.
As I posted in the other thread. It would not surprise me that much. I think he thought he was going to make the Oilers with the D we had. Since he was sent down this last time he did not look like the same player and played pretty lousy.
What's a Kevin Montgomery, i'm serious, guy doesn't even have a wiki page....
Looks like that's our trade for the day, now we get to hear the obligatory speech about how the Oilers will look to fix their holes during the off season yet the roster for 2012 will look exactly the same as this one.

Sulking, or sucking? Belle started out the season great in OKC, but has been on a spiral down ever since. His play has fell off drastically, but he has been having some nagging injuries. Smart move, because Stortini is already bringing more to the Barons line up then Belle has, so he would most likely been the healthy scratch most of the time.

Has Stortini been good for you guys? Like can he play some big minutes down there?

He's been playing pretty good, imo. He's on the 4th line, but OKC rolls all 4 lines usually so his playing time is consistent with most of the others not named Giroux, Moran, or McDonald. He's also getting some PK time. He had his first fight since being down yesterday in TX with Ray Sawada after he hit a baron up high, he didn't hug and threw a lot of punches.
Coach says he's been great in the locker room, and is great with the young guys, so he'll be a valuable asset going down the stretch.
He doesn't have a lot of pure skill, but I see what everyone liked about his work ethic, even in a 5-0 game he was leaving it all out there.
Lol...If a tree falls in the forest and nobody is around haha, well you get the point. Former London Knight, I wonder if he knows Gagner.
They were both there in 06-07.
I'm happy with this deal even if it only helps OKC. I'm glad they seem to be making the farm team at least marginally more of a priority than in the past.
