I wonder if Karlsson will ever get a start again.

doubtful you see the calgary tower again, unfortunatly that is the position this team is in. No room for error. I have a really good feeling about tonight.

Flames win! Plus we need that confidence going into tomorrow's game which is bound to be pretty tough.

I've got a good feeling about tonight, too bad I'll be in class so I'll miss most (if not all) of the game tonight so I won't be able to watch.

Anyway, go Flames go!

No Modin or Carson? That's kind of predictable, I guess they need one more practice or two to learn the system.

I agree about Karlsson... and honestly I'm not that worried about it... 1 big advantage for Kipper is the fact we only play 7 games over the final 20 days of the regular season... especially if we can clinch a playoff spot before our final game... that would give Kipper at least 5 days of rest before the playoffs start

wow I didn't look that far into the schedule yet. How awesome is that!? Should be a huge advantage if this team lands in the top 8 come playoffs.

What? Don't we have to be top 8 to be IN the playoffs? What kind of statement is that?

:p

Anyways, I'm thinking it's either going to be a blowout like 6-2, or it'll be another close 2-1 ish game. Blues might win, because they're playing spoiler now. Nothing to play for = lot looser locker room, so Flames have to be careful.

Go Flames Go.

I'm not sure if you are being sarcastic or not. But I did word it poorly...so...come playoff time for the NHL, if the flames are in the playoffs our regular season schedule in the last month should be an advantage.

Fredrik Modin already with the team in practice this morning, but will not play tonight. Neither will Brett Carson.

Carson is the 7th D, Modin is a veteran 13th forward with Cup experience; they Aren't supposed to Play unless things need a shakeup.

Ive been a huge hater of the Staios trade since it happened, but he's impressed me in a 5/6 role. With Bouwmeester he was a disaster; completely overmatched.

I'm still not liking Staios; just went to the game vs the sharks where Staios as the last man back turned over the puck in the neutral zone. Missed clearing the re-bound after the first shot. Then proceeded to move towards the wrong man resulting in a goal.

Sometimes he is just all kinds of bad. I really wish we had Pardy back...

I remember saying that Staios was being used wrong and people jumped all over me... clearly he is overpaid by about $2 million... but ignoring the salary he is a solid bottom pairing guy and is looking really good on his off wing

I'm sick and tired of Ben Bishop. I hope he gets pulled tonight. I always have to beat his ass down when he carries Tampa to the Cup Finals every god damned year in my Be a Pro!

It's going to be another close one. Could go either way. We need another W but I'm not sure we're going to pull it off. But anyways:

GO FLAMES GO!

Definitely would've like to see both Carson and Modin but that'll have to wait for later. Should be a close game but as long as this team keeps its confidence through three periods, I can't see why we won't be celebrating tonight.

This isn't for this game, but...

Quote:
Due to NHL broadcast exclusivities, the Rogers Sportsnet West broadcast of the Calgary Flames game vs. Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday, March 2nd will be joined in progress at 7:30 P.M. (MT).

NHL broadcast exclusivities will also delay the Wednesday, March 9th Sportsnet West broadcast of the Calgary Flames vs. the Dallas Stars until 7:30 P.M. (MT).

God forbid they put the game on one of the other two sportsnet channels we're paying for. Instead of darts or bowling or poker.

Great another stretch run game. I hope they pull off another win in regulation. The secondary aspect weould be if Calgary can win back to backs vs the Blues it could nearly bury the Blues' playoffs chances.

if you are going to complain at least know what you are complaining about

the problem is Sportsnet can not show games on a Wednesday and have it start within a certain time frame as it violates TSN's agreement with the NHL... there would be the same problem if the Flames had a game on Sportsnet starting at 5pm on a Saturday... National TV Contracts >>> Regional TV Contrats... it sucks but its simple... if anything be pissed that the Flames aren't finding a way to delay the start of those games to allow their fans to watch it in its entirety
