Is this a ridiculous question?
Teams do so much video work, and the hockey world is so small in general, that guys aren't really going to be able to effectively have "secrets." A guy trying to keep some secret edge on faceoffs or something like that will get "found out" pretty quickly anyway once people start watching tape of them for a couple hours. Malhotra is great at faceoffs because it's something that he works really hard at, not because of any secret move.

I hope the Vancouver team scores more goals than the Columbus team.

It just concerns me when Vigneault has any 'preconceived notions' about ice-time because then it really does not seem to matter how a guy plays.
So long as Lapierre eats away at some of the hard minutes Kesler plays on the PK, I think that would benefit Kesler. Yes, he's one of our best PKers, but he's also our best net crasher on the PP, and one of our best offensive forwards in general. The latter two (PP and offense) we don't really have anybody else that can eat away at that time, but on the PK hopefully we can give Kesler some time off there.

I would like to see Kesler get eased back on the ice-time tonight. His production has fallen off a cliff and what's the point of finishing 1st in the conference if Kesler has nothing left in the tank for the playoffs?

He was producing great when he was playing at a level of ice-time he has been used to for this year, why the sudden skyrocketing of his minutes?

Columbus is playing some good hockey, but it's been a while since they thumped an opponent.

I want a nice 6-2 win.

I was reading some background on Lapierre and one of the 'supposed' reasons (caveat: coming from the francophone Montreal media) for his requesting a trade out of Montreal was that Martin came in and took him off the PK unit and gave his time to Cammalleri; so I'm guessing he likes his PK time. During his successful 2008/2009 season (prior to Carbonneau's firing) Lapierre was averaging 2 minutes per game on the PK (and around 12 mins ES). When Martin took over Lapierre's PK time dropped to around 30 seconds per game (his ES ice-time remained somewhat consistent at around 12 mins/g). For reference Montreal had the 11th ranked PK under Carbonneau in 08/09, and the 12th ranked PK under Martin in 09/10.

Boy howdy is The Province's live chat ever stupid. I dropped in to see if Gallagher had anything of substance to back up his insinuation that Higgins wasn't happy to be traded here (short answer: of course he doesn't), which I was only able to do after sifting through pages of random guys and the occasional sportswriter talking about off-topic bull**** and posting photos of women's cleavage. Good grief.

Ouch.

Jim Hughson just said Lapierre has never penalty killed at the NHL level live on air (in between massaging his new love for the Flames); sorry Jim, but Lapierre averaged 2 minutes per game short-handed two years ago under Carbonneau (and 12 minutes ES). I still enjoy Hughson during play-by-play, but he should leave the analysis to those in the know like McGuire.

Apparently we were ''steamrolled'' by Boston according to Pierre Maguire even though it was tied with 5 minutes to go...

It should be Two and a Half Twins. Makes more sense, since Charlie does love his twins, twirling in circles.

Carbo used him a lot and Lapierre had 15 goals and 28 points in '08-09. The line he was most on was between Latendresse and Kostopoulous. Higgins also played with him a fair bit that year too.

Hughson is usually better prepared so I'm surprised he didn't do any research.

So I have HotSpot Shield and can hide my IP and have a random one be assigned (A US based on I think). Is there any way to do something similar to get a BC IP address so I can watch Canucks.com tonight?

Lepisto and Upshall did not arrive in Vancouver until about 2:30 pm Pacific. They got quick video tutorial of system and are ready to go.
