If Tinordi doesn't become that top pairing monster defenseman i don't really mind as long as he becomes at least a solid top 4 beast.

Imagine another Hal Gill but faster and can actually fight and hit? I don't mind

BTW can someone please give me a list of our prospects height/weight because i can't find a consistent site. For example some say a guy is 203 pounds others say he's 215

Usually the biggest reading is the most accuarate as kids keep growing and filling out until they are 22-23. Tinordi according to an article I read is up to 6'7" and 215lbs...I would say he needs another 20-30lbs over the next 3-4 years.

I think you nailed it with your projection...he is a bit of a risky pick so he could possibly never be an NHL regular, but on the other side he could be a beast shutdown guy who can play 25 minutes a night and intimidate in the Chara/Pronger mold(maybe less offense). A more conservative projection as you said is a bit meaner, bit more mobile version of Gill(he has amazing feet for a guy 6'7").

At this point in the season I think anything you'll find will likely be outdated. Usually the best we get is during training camp.

have you seen him play ?

I have and he is a solid prospect and on target

he skates as good as Myers but plays a defensive game

they dont play him on the pp and the teams stinks

this dude will fill out and be a Regher shut down guy ....bet on it

you dont find guys this big with wheels and smarts

he doesnt get fazed in his own end unlike most kids

I saw PK play a dozen times at least and he scared the s h i t out of you in his own

zone ...a complete gamble but his skills were off the charts

But you knew he had the talent to be a stud

Tinordi is miles ahead of PK in his own end ...will never be PK offensively

but if he gives me 12 years of Brooks Orpik with maybe a more offence

I AM OK WITH THAT

That's odd. On what basis would they put Macmillan ahead of Gallagher? Is it simply size? Because if one looks at results and level of play, I would put gallagher in the 4-7 range.

Not surprising, but Kristo falls a fair bit...believe he was around 35th overall last year.

I would have thought Bournival over Avtsin as well.

I don't know i'd definitely have them fairly low based on that list.

But normally the team rankings include players on the NHL squad that are 21/22 and under...if we include Subban, Eller and possibly Pacioretty then our "prospects" start to look a little more interesting.

as patty Roy said, alot of our young core is up on the team, Price, Subban, Eller, Patches, Weber, White, pyatt, Desharnais, and pouliot are all 24 and under dont forget, when you consider that Price is probably gonna be with us barring unforseen circumstances for the next 12+ years then you can really be a lot happier at the way it looks. As well considering that Subban was also a top ten prospect last year

It's not a big shock that there would be a drop with guys like Subban Weber Desharnais and Pacioretty making the jump into the NHL(plus Eller from St.Louis).

There are not a lot of "great" prospects right now, but a lot "good" ones with high upside guys that will require time and patience(Tinordi Leblanc MacMillan Nattinen Bennett Pateryn Avtsin Palushaj Nash Ellis Kristo Bournival Quailer Walsh) for the most part.

Ramo and Yemelin are two guys not on the list that could make a short term impact on the NHL club, plus White who is a role player/depth guy.

Brendan Gallagher is our best prospect, in my mind. I've seen him play an awful lot, he reminds me of a mini Parise, Recchi.

The kid is everywhere, has a wicked shot and is tough to knock off the puck. I actually like him more than LL.

I hope you are right, if he develops into a 60-70 point nHLer he would be a huge steal in the 5th round.

That's because you are only looking at his stats. But if you have actually seen him play, you can see he is a very smart defensive player with a mean streak. Surprisingly London sucks this season, and like someone else said he's not getting powerplay time yet. When he does, his numbers should go up a bit

The issue is that people GREATLY overrate our prospects here. Every team has some good young players on their roster.

I've seen him play 12-15 times this season plus someone I know very well plays in the league. He has not been very good this year.

I don't usually jump on our prospects, hype them up etc... but this kid is special on the ice. He isn't a corey locke, the kids has all the tools to make an impact at any level, even though he lacks some size.

It will be interesting to see him next year with a year under his belt with the culture, language and filling out physically.
