Rangers have been playing well physical, and that's got a lot to do with the territory domination. Avery scoring makes this guy happy, been ages!

MZA doesn't pot goals with regularity yet, but he gets tons of chances, creates plays, and hits. He's a solid player for this team. I dig it.

I liked Boyle's end of the period hit.

Could've had at least a 2-0 lead. Cally gotta convert on a chance like that.

Nice period, though.

Problem's right there. With the amount of chances they've had it should be 3-0.

Callahan would be a 35-40 goal scorer if he had more than an ounce of skill.

Zucc gets tons of chances... and he does have nice hands.... AT one point.. be it this season or next, when his hands start getting hot he is going to bury a LOT of pucks!

That's BS, you don't score 6 goals in 10 games, nor be on a 30g pace, with just an ounce of skill.

Him and Dubi just have the ridiculous and crazy coincidental habit (considering their bromance) to always get robbed like that.

edit- 4 goals in 10 games actually, i think. Still though. I hate the "Cally and Dubi" have no skill arguments.

It wouldn't be a Ranger game without one of our guys missing a sure goal that every other teams' players would bury easily.

Oh well, great period anyway.

What a period. Would have been nice if Arty could have buried one of his chances, or Callahan when he got robbed, but I'll take it.

The D is really doing an excellent job pinching in to keep the play alive. Particularly Gilroy and Sauer. Really disturbing Minnesota's breakout, which has looked completely dysfunctional.

Should be like 4-0, EC's deflection that just missed the net, that pass to Zucc wide open in front of the net that he missed, and Cally shooting right into Theodore.

I am starting to get tired of Zucc and Prospal on the PP, way too many passes and failure to shoot the puck when they have the lane.

Dubinsky-Christensen-Callahan
McCabe-Wolski

Fedotenko-Anisimov-Boyle
Staal-Stepan

I'd rather see that, Feds doesn't get enough credit for his work down low and the chances he creates.

I don't see anyone saying Dubinsky has no skill. He's easily the more skilled of the two.

Callahan simply gets his goals through determination and hard work. He's basically Parise with below-average hands.

Callahan had a split second to make a play there.

There are countless reasons why he couldn't get the puck up there.

Its not a video game, its not that simple.

It was an amazing save more then Callahan's inability to roof the puck from point blank.

Hank took away the bottom of the net. Outside of the post was his only option.

I don't understand the constant negativety on here. Cally got robbed, was a great save. People complaining we only got 1 goal, it was one period and we have a lead. Have some confidence.

Callahan CREATES his goals through determination and hard work. That doesn't score goals by itself. and his nasty deflections? Not skill, either?

Im really loving this team.. even if we dont make the playoffs... things could be looking nice next season with some experience under some of these young players. Imagine we get Richards, kreider is ready, and gabby gets hot.

Krieder-Richards-Gaborik
Dubi-Ani-Cally
Wolski-Stepan-Zucca
Feds/Avery-Boyle-Prust

Add in the ****ing rookie STUDS weve had on defence and we could be a seriously solid team!

I think Both Stepan and Mza are going to be lethal next year..

And if Gaborik can find him self again - we could be dangerous again...

All of us who play have been robbed like this at least once. Such a ****** feeling, you have the whole net, release the puck in that split second, and the goalie sprawls out of nowhere and stops it with the paddle of the stick.

It's skill. But he's really not all that skilled. The guy is a phenomenal hockey player, but the reason he's phenomenal is because of his hard work.

God, people need to lower their expectations with Kreider. I highly doubt he comes in and plays on the 1st line as a rookie with no pro experience to speak of.
