Does Nashville have enough to make the playoffs?

Time to vote.

Edit: I meant to put scoring forward(s) for Weber.

We have enough to be one of the better teams in the league but most of the enough that we have is on the IR.

I said yes.

Obviously we have "enough". (A bunch of teams in the west have enough including several that will miss.) I have no idea if we will make it though. It's surely an uphill climb now. But I like our chances a lot more after just the one win over the BJs, funny how that works.

I feel much better about our defense now with Blum here, strange as that may be about a rookie playing defense. I really couldn't understand the talk of our depth when SOB was playing poorly, and Franson is decent but has limitations. And even Bouillon is really just a third pairing guy and hasn't been healthy. Blum brings some puck moving and ability to create we really needed. A legit second pairing player who will make mistakes while he learns.

We might have enough after yesterday's game. Weber pissed off and Leggy a little banged up really makes a difference. Leggy's best play came when he had that injured knee for like half a season. Maybe yesterday's "war" pulled them together. Honestly, the only way I see us getting what we need is something like a 4 player deal where we deal Franson and JP for a veteran rental d and a decent scoring threat. Unless cube is close to coming back and then I could see us in a 2 for one type deal to dump Dumont's salary.

Pretty much how I feel; we have enough, some of it may be too banged up too help and we may not get there, but this group if it stays healthy can get in as a 7 or 8.

I think if Blum doesn't have too many "kid" moments he can be the 2nd pair guy for us. Sure, I'd love a proven 2nd pair guy, but I gotta' believe Poile is after O, not D, if he's after anything. Nice thing - if I'm right and then Cube comes back - we got an option on that 3rd pair and don't have to roll those 2 and live with the mistakes, cause while they both have more upside than Cube, Cube is steady and simply won't make the mistakes they do.

Enough to make the playoffs, but not enough to win a first round matchup. The truth hurts.

I felt like this was the team that was going to advance, but then they starting playing like crap. I can only hope good things happen.

We have enough to make the playoffs in 8th. If not 8th we're not in. Of course it'll be an early exit.

Maybe we get in but I certainly wouldn't bet on it. I don't see us making much noise in the playoffs though. We would need to get hot at the right time ala Montreal last year or the Canes a few years ago or The Oilers in 06.

I've been denying it to myself but there is no denying it anymore. Injuries have killed this team. This team looked like it had a lot of promise and for awhile it seemed like when one player went down we could just plug another one in and keep chugging along. I think finally the injury count was just so high that didn't work anymore and we have had to try different line combinations and the chemistry just isn't really there.

I think if, and big if, we make it, we go out early. Injuries are just too much for this year's team. I'm actually not disappointed in our record, just how they are losing some of these games (shutouts). I'm totally fine now with letting the younger guys get their time. There's always next year.

If we make it, it will be as an underdog. Likely to a very good team in either Vancouver or Detroit. If SJ stays in third and we can climb to sixth we have a decent shot at an upset. Otherwise it isn't "exiting early" so much as it's "exiting on time"

Yes.

This team has just enough to squeak into the playoffs but I don't see them winning a playoff game.

we have plenty if they would play worth a crap.

Hornqvist=sucking
Erat=sucking
Kostitsyn=sucking
Wilson=sucking
Legwand=sucking
Fisher=trying hard but still sucking

Obrein=proving the naysayers right

if all (or even a few) of the sucking players would unsuck for about 2 weeks, and if Cube can get well and we can bench SOB, we can be good again...

If so, they're well overdue.

Just looked and Nashville ha a very difficult month a head of them. It's going to be tough getting in to the playoffs.

hard for me to be optimistic right now.

We muster 1 goal from a rookie on the 4th line against a backup goaltender on the worst team in the league. woohoo!

It's hard to say no when we're only a point out of 7th, but I don't think we'll make it.

Don't have a playoff caliber line up coupled with the fact we're extremely inconsistent.

Playoff teams don't hope to beat Columbus or Edmonton, they pummel 'em.

One too many injuries and little to no heart. They play like they are worn out.

I don't think we will make it. With the way some bottom teams are winning and us losing games that we should be winning I just don't see it happening. If we do make it, I don't see us making it out of the 1st round again.

The team defiantly has what it takes to get in, but we're still a long ways from the top 4. Still, I'm excited to see what Fisher can do in the playoffs

you are nuts. even with injuries, our forwards, top to bottom are better than:

Islanders, Senators, Maple Leafs, Sabres, Panthers, Rangers, Wild, Coyotes, Blues, Oilers. There are ten off the top of my head.

Now, if you are tallking about goals scored by forwards, yeah propbably bottom 5 in the league. But when you take everything else that goes to playing forward I would take ours over many other teams.
