That means if you get just one extra flare a week - just one - a gorp... you get a groundball, you get a groundball with eyes... you get a dying quail, just one more dying quail a week... and you're in Yankee Stadium.

MoJo skates better on one skate while stickhandling than I do on two with no puck.

you have to go down for it to be tripped. There's no "attempted tripping" call.

Arnott driven to the boards in a play that would have gotten Ovy 5. I can't stand the new officiating boss. Lord knows what is a penalty and isn't anymore.

The dynamic down the middle, with Arnott booting Johansson permanently down to #3 and Gordon locking down #4, is completely different now. It's given the whole club a lift and the lines a far more balanced feel. Just night and day. Good stuff.

I saw that. Usually when you get hard enough into the boards that you are knocked off your skates, it's a board. It was the type of hit that would have a thread on the main boards in 10 seconds if Ovy threw it.

Why is that a penalty? There was nothing wrong with that play.

I would say good block by Schultz, but he really didn't move, the Blue made no effort to go around him.

To me this seems to be the first game of the season where we really play with some playoff-worthy urgency. Love the tempo and grit!
