Nice. Is Sparta's team made up of veterans? Is it fair to see, even though they won, Jokerit played very loose the last couple of minutes to concede two goals?
By the way, CM Punk is apparently a huge favorite in Edmonton. Another reason to like the city, I guess?
Oscar Klefbom has been sent home from the 4-nations tournament in Russia. Hes having problem with a infection.
That's really too bad - those little tournaments can be really good for development. I wouldn't want to venture a guess about what kind of infection it is. Is he the new Whitney (injury proneness)?

No, he's just an Oiler now so he's just the acting the part.

It seems that he's become sort of the "forgotten" Oilers prospect since backing out of his commitment to the University of Wisconsin some time ago.
So here's the update for all of you keeping score at home.
Hesketh will play NCAA hockey this season...except it won't be with the Badgers nor any other D-I team. He has committed to play for D-III Hamline University.
Hamline, which is located in St. Paul, Minnesota, plays in the MIAC (Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference). The Pipers were actually one of the best teams coming out of DIII last season, having won the MIAC title and advancing to the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals before falling to eventual DIII National Champion St. Norbert.

So there it is, folks.
Thanks for the update, but I don't believe he backed out of his commitment to Wisconsin, I think they withdrew their commitment to him.
Apparently he didn't meet the academic standard and they withdrew his scholarship.
Not immediately booking a flight to Edmonton probably cost him a shot at a pro hockey career.
Actually, I think it was the not being good at hockey part that probably cost him a shot at a pro career. Lol.
Yeah, he would have been better served playing on the Oil Kings as soon as he was drafted but he was one of those players where they were trying to project what he'd be without seeing any actual talent besides being a defensive d man.
The Oilers dropped 2009 third-round draft pick defenceman Troy Hesketh (Chicago Steel and Sioux City, United States Hockey League juniors) from their list and he was back in the draft this June, with no takers. He was attending the University of Wisconsin, but now he’s not.
