Spring 2011 Capitals Prospect Poll #1
Who is our #1 Prospect? Think about now & in the future could help too.
NOTE: Varlamov, Neuvirth, Johansson, Carlson, Alzner have graduated as they are full-time NHL Regulars.
Keeping Gordon & Beagle in there as they are still prospects and close to having both feet in the NHL.
Also, who should be added in next?

With our D prospects graduating, it's got to be Kuznetsov, right?

Fixed. I feel like voting for Beagle just for fun.

Holtby. The numbers he has at the AHL level is ridiculous...And he's played pretty well in a couple of games with the Caps.

Can you drop Mathieu Perreault? Having played over 50 NHL games, I don't consider him a prospect anymore.
I voted Kuznetsov.
My recommendation to add would be Herbert and Grubauer at the top of the list.

When he went up there to announce that pick, it almost felt like he was quietly laughing inside his head at the other GMs who had passed on him - "bwhahahah, you fools!"
Out of curiosity, who did THN have as #1 and #2?

Never. He has no interest in playing in the AHL. His intention seems to be to jump from the KHL directly to a top-6 NHL role.

Is he really that good? I guess Johannson has done that so it is possible. It does make him sound a bit full of himself though.

I'm sure he likes playing in Russia a lot more than if he were playing for the Bears. Plus, if the Caps are gonna let him stay there, then why not.
Who were the #1 and #2 prospects?

I think I'd vote:
1. Kuz
2. Orlov
3. Holtby
4. Eakin
5. Gordon/Beagle/Galiev - probably giving the edge to Galiev with the skill upside.

I'd flip Eaking and Holtby, but essentially my list as well.
