Going to a concert tonight, but I'll probably torture myself by following the game on my phone.
I've about given up like everyone else I think. I was at the point last night of telling my girlfriend not to waste her money on tickets for the Pens game when I go out to Pittsburgh in two weeks. Will probably end up going anyway and totally ruin my weekend.
I am seriously going to the movies at 7 so I don't have to watch this. AND if they win I am not watching another game till they lose. so hopefully I don't watch another ranger game for about ohhh 5 games or so,lol
ill watch, but thank god its a friday night so i can drink my sorrows away after
after? or during? I'll be doing it up from the opening faceoff... Unfortunately, I may need it...

I agree... I will be changing my avatar back right after I finish this message.
Unfortunately, I know I'll be watching this game and hoping for the best. Part of me wants to still believe in this team and I'm optimistic that we turn it around tonight. Eventually these bounces have to go in. I think we light it up tonight and maybe, just maybe, carry it over to Sunday....
Let's Go Rangers!!!! and Go Pittsburgh! Go Chicago!
TANK. TANK. TANK. Strome, Landeskog, RNH, Couturier, one of those please.
Don't even waste your time cheering for that scenario.
Last year it was a very real possibility and after all our boiling frustration we got **** on anyway with a late season "push" into the 9th place finish. The exact same thing is going to happen again this year. Superstar Christensen will show up for the last 5 and re-ignite the burning hatred of the fanbase. Some patchwork 4th line will get hot and have us drinking the kool-aid about their potential and point projection pace for NEXT season if they play together(which they won't, because Sather will remove them to make room for the next Frolov UFA signing "steal").
-Draft pick outside the top 10
-Taking the wrong player or long term project
-The hope of trading up crushed by Sather thinking hes drafting the team need without moving up, when hes ignoring the #1 need of a homerun prospect. Heaven forbid he draw from the pool of youth who have assured NHL potential, but not even half the roster spots for them all.
a coworker just stopped by to tell me he heard johnson is supposedly getting the nod tonight...really?!?!?! this is about as "must win" as it gets, hank barely broke a sweat last night and we go from ottawa back home to get slaughtered by Philly and a west coast trip. why wouldnt we dop everything possible to get 2 points tonight?
im completely baffled by this team and the management thereof.

It is possible...but the plan was to have Gabby and Johnson skate this morning, so if that is what happened then most likely Johnson will not be in net.
Most likely it will be hank. But if you want to give hank a break, this would be the team to do it against, but the timing is not right we need hank in there.
Maybe Torts changes the dump and wait, boardplay-turnover, bunched in a corner, no anticipation, no-screen, no-physicality, drawing-board, garbage hockey, starting with tonight's game.
Is it just me or does it look like the Rangers are playing X's and O's out there instead of playing off chemistry and anticipation?

Tortorella already declared Gaborik out of tonight’s game but with Johnson skating this morning, that seems to squash any doubt that Henrik Lundqvist wouldn’t be making his 11th straight start. Lundqvist almost surely will start Sunday when the Rangers host the Flyers and also both games on the California trip since they are so spaced out - Wednesday at Anaheim and Saturday at San Jose.
