****. No offense to Backlund, but losing morrision is devastating. I hope somebody two hands Seabrook in the throat.

Expected CBJ lines (the article in the OP was very close on the forwards, but the defense was completely wrong)

Nash - Vermette - Voracek
Calvert - MacKenzie - Umberger
Dorsett - Pahlsson - Upshall

not sure how this will play out but - Moreau, Clark, and Boll for the 4th line unless Arniel decides to slide MacKenzie to the 4th and stick Umberger in the middle. Murray got hurt last night in Edmonton, he had been the 4th line center - his status is unknown.

Hejda - Lepisto
Russell - Clitsome
Tyutin - Methot

Don't know about goalies. Mason got pulled last night since he was playing like crap (as was almost everyone else on the team).

According to Vicki Hall, Bourque slides into Tanguay's spot, and Tangs slides to centre.

Ya I see that, kind of disappointed, hoping Backlund would get a shot.

Lines at practice according to Roger Millions:

Bourque Tanguay Iginla
Glencross Jokinen Moss
Bourque Stajan Jackman
Modin Backlund Hagman

That's not a typo on my part, apparently Kostopolous isn't on the ice?

I think this is worth a try. Stajan isn't a first line guy and Backlund isn't even close.

edit: Millions fail:

NHLFlames
#Flames lines: Bourque-Tanguay-Iggy, Moss-Jokinen-Glencross, Jackman-Stajan-Hagman, Modin-Backlund-Kostopoulous

Can't really make that judgement till he is given a shot, obviously he is not a true number 1 but with the absent of Morrison I would have rather see a natural centerman filling that roll then moving Tanguay in their

Well I'd rather have a true first line player move into that role before a fourth line player does. Not saying I'm opposed to trying Backlund there but I have doubts he'll be sufficient in this do-or-die situation we're in.

To be fair to the guy he put up a 0.5 goal per game pace playing with Iggy at the end of last year, but that's not even close to the firepower a Bourque-Tangs-Iggy line could potentially have. They're making the right move by trying this first.

So no word on severity of Morrison's ankle injury? Think it might be pretty bad.
Hopefully Tanguay can make adjustment at C.

Sutter said the lines this morning may not be what you see tonight; gametime decision as to whether 12 or 11 forwards and 6/7 D. #Flames

Considering they played last night and lost to the Oilers, the confidence is likely a bit low. A quick goal by the Flames and we could be in store for a fun one tonight!

Interesting line combos, looks like we'll see how Modin fits in.

Regardless of lines, great opportunity to put the CBJ's out of their missery with a convincing win

Iggy keeps it going, Bourque wakes up and Modine makes great first impression

Yes but they also get a chance to come out the next night and prove themselves. The Bluejackets come out early with a chip on their shoulder. The Flames are going to have to weather the storm. If we make it out of the first period tied or with a lead, this one is over.

I will be at this game, so I'm pumped. It will be interesting to see how Backlund will do if given this opportunity.

GO FLAMES GO!!

Interesting to see Tanguay at Center. Should be interesting how that line meshes up. I wouldn't be surprised to see Backlund take a couple shifts with Iggy if Sutter needs a spark.

I'm really interested to see how Tangs does at centre, if I'm not mistaken that was the position he played in Junior. I think he will do just fine. I'm also not opposed to see Backlund get some minutes there, I swear every time he plays with Iggy to me it looks as though they have some natural chemistry. Either way Sutter likes to juggle up the lines if they are not getting chances, so I'm sure he will get some time there.

GO FLAMES GO!!!!

I'd prefer Moss on the top line to Bourque... not because of ability but because between he and Iggy Tanguay wouldn't have to take many faceoffs

Very true, I am sure Tanguay will be fine in the positional part of the job, just don't see him take to many draws.

Go Flames! I'd imagine we'll see Iggy take some draws for tangs, interesting line to say the least, hopefully they find good chem with all 3 being hot right now

I'd love to watch the game, but I have my own playoff game today. I got the night off of work tho, can't complain.

Tonight, we either have a chance to reach 4th or 5th, or possibly fall down to 10th over the weekend.

Hell of a game... go Flames go! Get well soon BMo! Do your best Modin!

Bourque is playing two lines?

Anyways, Flames win 4-3
