it comes down to this. CC needs a rest soon, it shows in his play. if you had the choice to either give CC a rest and put turco in against a backup who has had a shaky stint this year, or would you rest CC the following day against a team thats on a winning streak and a hot goalie on the other side? the choice is fairly obvious if you ask me, turco should have been in tonight.
I think they're going to give CC the rest tomorrow...that'll give him a few days off consecutively. Playing him tomorrow cuts into that. I'm almost certain we see Turco tomorrow.

Carolina's play in their own zone is horrid. Seems like they don't even battle for loose pucks.

Peters is the only reason we're not up by a half dozen by now.

Seabrook is awful and slow tonight. Really poor performance from him.

He's been pathetic and his partner hasn't been much better. You don't get much of a defense pairing for $9 million nowadays, I guess.

I am fully aware of his inconsistency this season. He had a strong game 2 nights ago but tonight he doesn't even look interested at all.

I like the guy but he's been horrible this year; it seems like he's more interested in telling jokes and ************ with Olczyk than calling the game.

... and who would that be sir? If Turco is our backup he needs to play, and this was the perfect game to get him in there.

Very true, at least Hammer is giving an effort... albeit a poor one.

I guess you hand a guy 30 million dollars and they stop caring. Maybe I am too focused on Seabrook but his effort is pissing me off. Just signed a huge contract and we are only inside the 8th seed by 2 points and this is as hard as you can skate?

end of 2,,,, Hawks could easily be leading by 5.

Character check time again. Anyone else get the impression that this could serve us well in the playoffs?

We are playing half speed against a team that is giving us no fight whatsoever... Carolina looks awful tonight. How does this help us for the playoffs exactly?

Just got in and the FO battle is highlighted on the box score

Team 37-11
Toews 11-4
Johnson 11-4
Dowell 8-0
Bolland 6-3

Have some of these been uncontested?

Also, other than the goals has the rest of this game been as boring as the last few minutes of the 2nd?

There's been a bunch of decent chances but they were just playing out the period at the end there yeah, was pretty bad.

Yeah I'm not sure outside of the points how this one means anything for the playoffs

Although with our third periods lately it would be nice to protect a one goal lead.

No Carolina is just terrible at the dot and have been all season. When Bolland is 66% against your team you know you suck.

I am really stoked about this Eastern Conference stretch, grab some easy points.

6 - the division is incredibly competitiive
7 - Hawks are still finding new chemistry with several rookies
8 - CC has been good, but not quite as good as some like to claim. He hasn't reached the performances of a Halak in 2010 or a Reimer for Leafs this year and he must be getting tired.... and he looks it.
