In last night's game against the 'Yotes he took a shot to the face late in the first period. Willie stopped in the dressing room and had meeting with the team doctor and a tube of Dermabond - think superglue for the skin and he headed back out to do battle in the second period.
The Kings won 1-0 with Willie logging almost 14 minutes of ice-time.
The Kings have played the Canucks hard this year, and they need points since they're right in the middle of the pack. This along with the Canucks' recent coasting with minimal effort play makes this likely not that pretty. Unless they wake up for this team.. hopefully they do.
This whole problem with the canucks is my fault. For the last three weeks I've taken the Sedins, Burrows and Kesler in my hockey pool. I have usually tried to avoid either betting on the canucks or taking them in pools, but it was just so tempting. Anyway, I am trading them in and going to be taking Kessel, Reimer, Toews and Crawford - possibly some Flyers.
So with that, expect this humdrum lazy hockey to end tomorrow.
I fully expect a Vancouver win, with at least a 5 or 6 goal output. The Sedins, Burrows and Kesler will all play well. Raymond....I have no excuse for, he'll probably look as lost as ever and continue to confuse all his linemates.
