1pm? Thanks for the reminder.

I knew it didn't make sense for a regular start time and then fly to Minny the next night.

With that being said, If they get a point i'll be happy.

I think the logical move would be to start Enroth against the Flyers and Miller against the Wild.

1) Philly dominates at home; with or without Miller, the odds of pulling out a win are against us.

2) Miller gave up a couple softies against the Canes; give him the extra rest against a team we likely can't beat. Play a rested Miller against the Wild whose play lately has been average and who don't dominate at home like the Flyers.

3) Force the rest of the team to play smarter by not being able to rely on Miller to save their bacon when they make dumb decisions with or without the puck.

That said, nothing would be sweeter during this crucial road trip than beating the Flyers at home. I want Miller against the Flyers. I want to beat those mother****ers, and we'll need every trick in our bag to do it.

Start Miller. Enroth can go Sunday.

2 points here would be huge.

Vogl seems to think it's going to be Enroth. Ruff may be trying to "steal" the two points with Enroth. If not, they'll have a rested Miller ready for the Wild. Besides, Miller hasn't played that well against the Flyers this year.

I will be amazed if Miller isn't in net. Really though he needs a rest to think over his ****** play against Carolina. Let that stew for a bit. Then play him in Min.

I think it'll be Enroth for the sole reason that I think Ruff knows himself well enough to realize that if they lose in regulation on Saturday that he'll worry and throw Miller in there again on Sunday. And do we really want to be in a situation where we're playing the second of a road back-to-back with Enroth in net for his 8th career start?

I say go with Enroth, hope that the adrenaline helps him play a great game and that rubs off on the rest of the team. If you lose, you probably would've lost with Miller, too. And now you've left yourself with a better chance to win the next day against Minnesota.

Agree with this down the line. Although I wouldn't really mind if it's the other way around (I don't have a problem with Enroth playing at Minnesota in a back to back, he's stepped up at times to be good enough), I'd prefer Enroth tomorrow, then Miller.

I agree, but I still think Lindy will play Miller. I will be happily shocked if he doesn't play him.

HATE TO SAY THIS BUT Buffalo could help Boston put pressure on the 1 seed just like Toronto did last night.......

a Sabres WIN COULD PUT Boston 1 back of Philly...

With the Rangers and Devils both winning tonight, we really need the 2 pts to keep pace with the pack.

There's no reason to start Miller, we just won't beat Philly.

I'm not gonna quote everyone, but I think going into any game right now with the mentality of "probably a loss" is a mistake.

That said, I'd like to see Enroth in net against Philly, if for no other reason than Miller's struggles during the last game.

Go Sabres! I'm probably going to start representing myself on these boards as a Canucks fan AND a Sabres fan so you'll likely see a lot more of me around these parts from now on.

Hope there's a bit of room on the bandwagon!

BTW, it looks like the Flyers are slumping a bit. I'm predicting the Sabres capitalize and get a gutsy 3-2 win against the East's #1 team.

Buffalo goals:

Ennis
McCormick
Myers (PP)

Philadelphia goals:

Carter (PP)
Briere

Here's a bad omen: The Flyers are tied for the league lead in short handed goals scored with 10. The Sabres are tied for the league lead in short handed goals allowed with 11.

It'll be Enroth. No point in playing Miller today. I'd lock down the easier two in Minny. In fact, I would have flown Miller out there today.
One problem with Enroth against Philly is his rebounds -- big ones. Flyers are big team that loves to go into dirty areas for goals.
Sabres D will have to be sharp to clear those rebounds.

And it seems like at least once a year Richards gets one on us.
