Looks like a good goal. If you are going to dive around to try to draw penalties that is the result.

I think the broadcaster on that video called it pretty fair - there was undeniably contact and a push by Sedin, but Doughty went down awfully easily on the play

Oh the irony...Drew Doughty's team complaining about a dive.

Yeah, considering the amount of times Luongo has been run over, I have little sympathy.

Also, the Kings set the tone for the game with a large number of plays in which they used elbows to finish hits and interfered with Canucks all over the ice. This was very much in keeping with the level of non-call set by the play throughout the game. You can't play borderline hockey and then cry about it when it costs you. Sorry.

A push that happens in front of the net a dozen times on the PP and a hundred other times during the game. At some point, the defenseman has to be stronger on his skates instead of trying to draw a penalty. But, by all means, Quick and co. should continue to complain about the Canucks diving while not bothering to play hockey and diving themselves.

You aren't going to get much sympathy from the fans of a team that got Byfugliened last year.

The Kings commentators themselves said that Doughty was touched it didn't look hard. Also love the comment that the Kings had ample time to get the puck out.

But yeah seriously, taps like that happen EVERY SINGLE TIME PLAYERS GET TOGETHER IN FRONT OF THE NET, Doughty just tried to sell it and cried when the refs didn't buy it.

Stop whining you had half a period to score the tying goal

Yeah, Doughty would be a lot better served boxing Sedin out rather than sprawling out across the crease from light contact.

Really though, when you're outshot by a nearly 2:1 margin, go 0-6 on the PP (including a 5 on 3), and only manage 4 shots on goal in the last 9 minutes while trying to tie a game (almost 3 minutes of that was with an extra man), then there are lot bigger things to worry about than Daniel Sedin bumping into Doughty.

I would barely even consider that a nudge. Goal is 100% legit.

I like how Doughty points accusingly at Daniel at the very moment Quick points accusingly at Burrows. Those guys should get their stories straight.

Pic of Doughty in the box with "Unsportsmanlike Misconduct - Diving" required for this thread.

Vancouver fans know all too well about being bumped in the crease.

I'm not even sure what the deal is.

Is this a big deal on the Kings board?

He obviously couldn't handle our big power forwards around the crease.

I don't see the Burrows interference at all, Daniel gave a minor shove but nothing really out of the ordinary for standing around in the crease area. Compared to some of those goals last year where Buff was practically sitting on Luongo, it was really nothing. All this sort of stuff evens out in the end, good goal.
Seeing guys like Doughty meltdown was sort of interesting though, it was a 2-1 game with lots of hockey left. Even some of the Oilers posters on their board are calling Doughty a whiny diver, and they definetly aren't pro Canucks....I'm trying to picture him acting like that in a team Canada jersey, I think one of the veterans would have smacked him if he had.
