Also, the Kings set the tone for the game with a large number of plays in which they used elbows to finish hits and interfered with Canucks all over the ice. This was very much in keeping with the level of non-call set by the play throughout the game. You can't play borderline hockey and then cry about it when it costs you. Sorry.
A push that happens in front of the net a dozen times on the PP and a hundred other times during the game. At some point, the defenseman has to be stronger on his skates instead of trying to draw a penalty. But, by all means, Quick and co. should continue to complain about the Canucks diving while not bothering to play hockey and diving themselves.
Yeah, Doughty would be a lot better served boxing Sedin out rather than sprawling out across the crease from light contact.
Really though, when you're outshot by a nearly 2:1 margin, go 0-6 on the PP (including a 5 on 3), and only manage 4 shots on goal in the last 9 minutes while trying to tie a game (almost 3 minutes of that was with an extra man), then there are lot bigger things to worry about than Daniel Sedin bumping into Doughty.
I don't see the Burrows interference at all, Daniel gave a minor shove but nothing really out of the ordinary for standing around in the crease area. Compared to some of those goals last year where Buff was practically sitting on Luongo, it was really nothing. All this sort of stuff evens out in the end, good goal.
Seeing guys like Doughty meltdown was sort of interesting though, it was a 2-1 game with lots of hockey left. Even some of the Oilers posters on their board are calling Doughty a whiny diver, and they definetly aren't pro Canucks....I'm trying to picture him acting like that in a team Canada jersey, I think one of the veterans would have smacked him if he had.
