That we didn't deserve the 2 points and the Kings failure to make the playoffs will be a direct result of this "bad goal".

LOL, it's a clean goal. It's comical how mad LA fans are. I'm guessing quick or TM didn't look at the replay. wah wah

Doesn't seem any worse than Hamhuis getting tripped last game?

I don't think it was a clean goal. The issue for me is Burrows tapping Quick's stick as he skates by. That's what Quick was pissed about. Doughty embellished the incidental contact by Sedin but I don't think it should have counted due to goalie interference on Burrows.

The first few pages of the PGT are riddled with Kings fans trashing the Canucks. I don't think one fan has that many accounts.

Yeah, not sure why people keep claiming the LA fans are being whiny. Seems like the same ratio of silliness to reasonableness that exists on every other board, this one included.

To me it looked like Burrows was pushing Mitchell's stick down and as he was bringing it down also caught Quick's. Whether that's goalie interference or not, I've seen goals allowed with far more contact than that.

Any incidental contact by Burrows had no bearing on the goal.

The incidental contact (if any) occurred when Burrows was outside the crease.

Per Rule 69 - Interference on the Goalkeeper:
Incidental contact with a goalkeeper will be permitted, and resulting goals allowed, when such contact is initiated outside of the goal crease, provided the attacking player has made a reasonable effort to avoid such contact.

Hockey 101: If you're a defenseman it's probably a bad choice to dive when you're supposed to be covering the front of the net. Actually scratch that...if you're a player on the ice and your check is in front of the net do not dive.

A team with Dustin brown on it complaining about diving is comical.

Bertuzzi made a living on that exact play

I used to be a Doughty fan, not so much anymore. I think Quick was mad because Burrows ass hit him in the mask as he went by. Doughty didn't help matters by sprawling in the crease though.

We're teflon. What's the worst that could happen? The team goes out in the first round and are labeled chokers? How is that any different? We get made fun of for never winning a Cup? Nothing new there.

That video is hilarious. Either Doughty dove or he weights about 45 pounds. There is no way a professional NHL d-man should be falling from that amount of contact. If he stayed on his skates instead of trying to draw a penalty, he likely could have tied Daniel's stick up. This is all on Doughty for his stupid dive.

Pretty much. It was the same with Foppa. He would skate through 5 men and score and then on the next play he'd feel a stick on his butt and be jumping for the 1000m butterfly. As a Canucks fan I'd like to think we know what dives look like, and Doughty was doing that several times during the game. Should stick to letting Brown do it.

Oh please LA, eke your way into 8th in the west so we can stomp you in the 1st round again. I just love this "playoff chokers" crap coming from Kings fans. What's next, Columbus fans doing a board raid?

Nice try, Doughty. Dunno where that guy who played here in the Olympics went. And Quick? The NHL said it was okie-dokie legal to park a player on top of Luongo last playoffs, so cry me a river. You're not getting any sympathy from us in that department.
