I'd rather see Kostitsyn or Pouliot.

Solid win. SOLID. Could have been out of reach in the 1st period. Penalty killing was terrific again tonight. Not many scoring chances for the Montreal South, and the Habs' look like they have a secret weapon in Desharnais, he buries his chances when he gets them. Nice to see Gomez hustle all over the ice, and let's hope he can build off this game tonight. MaxPac is THE POWER FORWARD we've been waiting for. 1st goal was b/c HE was screening the goalie, and then he buried his chances as well. Thanks PG for not signing MAB he is awful.

4-0 with Sopel in the lineup. Shots on goal were not indicative of the game. Habs came out flying and played smart hockey most of the game and weathered Tampa's few storms.

It seems all southern US buildings inflate the shot totals. The habs took their foot off the gas a bit but 45 shots? No way. Whenever the lightning threw the puck in the crease from behind the net they called it a SOG.

And man, the lightning got away with a TON of stick work. Subban had enough and got the refs back with that dive. One of the rare times I will endorse diving. Stripes got their eyes closed all night? Alright we'll create our own pp's.

Oh and to Price and Pacioretty:

It will never happen but I`d like to see Pouliot. Big shot, gets physical... needs to gain confidence but hard to do when every mistake the kid makes sees JM punish him.

Then put Eller on the left wing with DD and AK and a playoff shutdown line of Moen - Halpern - Darche

Time of ice

M. St. Louis --> 25:18

S. Stamkos --> 23:58

It was the mistake that killed the Bolts after they won their Stanley Cup. Too much ice time for Lecavalier and St. Louis.

That is not going to work, they someone fast and who can skate. Darche can't do that.

Going forward I think this would be ideal..

Kostitsyn-Plekanec-Cammalleri
Pacioretty-Gomez-Gionta
Pouliot-Desharnais-Darche
Halpern-Eller-Moen

Right when the game started Price had that '' playoff mode'' on. I didn't want to jinx it after he made few spectacular saves in first.
