4-3 Canucks.
Kesler, D. Sedin, Raymond, and Ehrhoff score.

Re: Lapierre, he has been relatively unnoticeable. Blocks some shots, gets in on the forecheck well, but still looks to be fitting in. The positive is that he hasn't looked like a total liability out there. Not sure whether or not he looks better than Hodgson at this point, but the experience factor gives him a slight edge. He certainly looks better than the cadre of crap other than Hodgson that we've given a shot out there, though.

^ most people predicted losses yesterday

Now everyone is confident vs Anaheim because of there weak D. But they still have a heck of a forward group that can expose our bottom pairing, Iama say its 5-4 in ot or SO hopefully kesler racks em up with the twins.

According to AccuScore (10,000 simulations for each NHL game) ANA are the favourites tonight (52%).

Ellis to start.

J.P. Levasseur recalled to backup Dan Ellis on Sunday vs. VAN. Won't arrive until after practice.
Ellis defeated the Canucks earlier in the year with the Lightning despite stopping only 24 of 27 shots faced.

Anaheim always plays us tough. Here's hoping the Canucks use that as motivation like they did against the Kings yesterday.

Yes, the team will not be caught off guard when it comes to physical play this time - lets play.

Hopefully Daniel Sedin continues to goon it up in front of the net and "Bertuzzis" a few Ducks D-men.

Dan Ellis?! Time for the Canucks to go old school and fire slappers from the top of the circle.

I wouldn;t say they have a heck of a forward group..

Ryan-Getzlaf-Perry
Winchester-McMillan-Selanne
Ruutu-Marchant-Sexton
Brookbank-Chipchura-Parros

They have one real good line and Selanne....

The ducks play very undisciplined. Could be another 6 PP night - hopefully we can do better than oh-for.

Ryan Getzlaf, Ana (C) 13 pts in last 8 GP
Teemu Selanne, Ana (RW) 3 pts in last 2 GP
Bobby Ryan, Ana (LW/C) 4 pts in last 3 GP

No members are hot on the Vancouver Canucks hockey team except for the hardnosed American Cory Schneider.

Dan Ellis, Ana (G) 2-0-0, 1.88, .927 in last 2 GPI
Cory Schneider, Van (G) 2-0-0, 1.50, .949 in last 2 GPI

This would be a good night to score on the PP, looking at some of the yahoos the Ducks have on their bottom lines.

Try Hon's next time you're in town. Best Chinese in the city, best deal on Chinese in the city. http://www.hons.ca/hons_english.htm

Lappy's obviously on a very short leash atm. Been fine for the limited ice he's seen, though I think he'll get some slack when the playoffs start and we'll see the real Max Lapierre.

Please win today. Please?

Subplot: Hamhuis gets revenge on Getzlaf by hipchecking him into row 35, section 10.

Was it Daniel or Henrik that ran over a Bruin when we played Boston?

I think it was Henrik and IIRC it was by accident.

On Lok is much better than Hon's. Hons is out of business anyways - something about doing cash business and stiffing CRA on their HST payments.

Best value Chinese food in the city is probably Dinesty (yes that's how they spell it) in Richmond on Ackroyd Rd (across from SaveOn).

For cheap (but fairly good) dim sum, try Kings on Main Street. Good prices, good food, horrid ambiance.
