Not bad at all!

He's gotta be one of like three goalies to get a hat-trick.

Probably: Hextall, Richter, and now Schnieder!

sicktits!

Good milestone game, with Manny picking up his 100th career shutout as well.

He should've fought and kicked perry's ass while nabbing an assist for a gordie howe hattrick as well. So he would accumulate: 1 Win, 3 Goals, 1 Assist and a shutout in a single game? Not bad.

Edit-1,000th post, bleh.

Shh....

Now we can hope for Daniel Sedin to win the Vezina, Luongo the Art Ross and Rocket Richard, Ryan Kesler for the Norris and Christian Ehroff for the Selke.

Is that Kesler winning the Norris, or the Chuck Norris?

Leaf fan.. I come in peace..

Didn't want to start a new thread, but I have a couple of questions about Schnieder...

1) How many starts do you think he'll get down the stretch? Will they rest Lou a bit more before the playoffs, or will they try and get Lou all of the starts?

2) Obv you guys are "married" to Lou and Schnieder has a limited role/future with the Nucks... would you trade him for a late first? Goalies seems to have less value around the league.. a late first seems reasonable to me, but people always over-rate their own players...

I expect Schneider to get 5 more starts this season.

Schneider wont be moved for a late 1st. There is no point in doing so. He has been a great backup goalie this season, and it would be best to keep him next season (unless we got an amazing offer for him). If Luongo got injured or started not playing well, I would feel safe having Schneider to play as a starter.

1) What Nuckles said

2) No thanks, why trade a player we've been developing for the last 7 years, who's finally reaching his potential, for a 1 st round pick? Especially a contender, Schenn or Schneider.

The Oreskovich callup wasn't even necessary, apparently. Just slot Cory into the second line in Phoenix.

I agree entirely with that line of thought, however if they do move Schneider for a 1st...it would make sense during the draft. You wouldn't be moving him for a 1st at that point, you'd be moving him for a specific player that management/scouting really wanted.

Just to expand on that thought a little bit, I watch the WHL pretty closely and it's a tough call on any 1 draft eligible that I would trade Schneider for:

RNH- obvious no brainer
Siemens- yep, but would we move our 1st and Schneids for him? tough decision (I vote no)
Musil or Mcneill, tough decisions...i'd go with yes on Musil, and maybe a brain aneurisym on Mcneill
Rattie or Bartschi, no but both have the huge upside and elite skills that might cause Gillis to regret it sooner or later.
everyone else: **** no, unless the Leafs offer Ross + their 2cnd when Morrow, Bell, St. Croix are still there, another tough call.

Conclusion: I respect GM's with bags under their eyes, the amount of tough decisions these guys have to make is remarkable. Flippant, arrogant GM's who look well rested.....not so much, and every decision regarding Schneider has to first come with a decision about Lack's NHL readiness.
