Looks like it's even for both teams. Flames gotta do something with those picks now. Horak has good stats too.

I wouldn't dish out those picks if I were Murray.

Sucks for the Flames but it's kind of funny. After hearing a couple Flames fans go on about how much better than Rundblad he is, seeing him screw them over is really awesome.

Well I don't know what happened, but if he refused to play for Calgary and only wanted to play where his da-da played, then yeah he's got some character issues. I hope he blows his knee out if that's the case.

Hard to believe Feaster left the Erixon's signing so late in the process that his options were reduced to the NYR offer.

While the 2 seconds aren't bad, no way Horak comes close to Erixon' value.

This isn't about Murray, this is about Flames, desperate to get more value than the 53rd, asking Erixon where he wanted to go. Rangers it is.

Erixon ditches the team that drafted him for greener pastures by demanding far too much, forcing them to trade him for less than he's worth or lose him for nothing but a late-2nd?

I don't want any players on this team that think they deserve special treatment.

Well, that's jumping to conclusions. All signs pointing towards Erixon refusing to sign (not over money, obviously), though.

Wheeler, Lindros, Berard..

I'd be super pissed if Rundblad or Silfverberg pulled a stunt like this. Like Dany Heatley pissed. What a stab in the back to Flames fans.
Seriously? The only difference between the Erixon situation and the Silfverberg situation are that Ottawa was willing to let Silfverberg play in Sweden next year (which some people, for some stupid reason, found ridiculous).

More reason to take Hamilton if Strome is the only higher end fwd left.

Exactly. They didn't try and play hardball with him and force him to come over and play in the A.

The hockey gods have a way of catching up to those players. Lindros can barely tie his shoes now, Berard lost an eye pretty much, and Wheeler got sent to Atlanta and now Winnipeg and pretty much sucks. Hopefully they catch up to Erixon too if he pulled this ******* move.

is this actually legit? The flames traded cause of 1 year? I find that hard to believe to be honest

Ah, yes. Long term brain damage is a small price to pay for not wanting to work in a city where you don't speak the native language.

I'm not a huge fan of his game, if we draft Hamilton, we will by far have the best defense core in the league in 2-3 years(yes even better then Nashville's).

I would assume Murray would pull a Rundblad and go for a forward prospect already signed to a team, rather then go for another D man..

I thought it was because he wanted to be drafted by the Rangers in the first place and basically demanded to be traded there by not signing. Blah blah his father's there, wanted to go there.

Please, keep Erixon FAR away from my team. Have we not had enough guys who had these same character issues? (to whoever said he does not have character issues, umm... this counts) We have enough defense prospects, offensive defensemen at that, and we need some forward talent. I think it's clear that this guy did not sign with Calgary due to greedy, personal reasons involving his father's time with the Rangers.

We don't need another Yashin.

If there are even borderline character issues Bryan won't even think about him.. Murray would rather kill himself then put himself back in that seat..
