Why did Vokun have to play tonight.... doesn't Tallon want to draft as high as possible?

We looked like we had a 35 minuet 2 man advantage at the end of that game and couldn't put on in the net.

So frustrating. By the way Dmitry Kulikov is nice... he is like a Duncan Keith Lite.

Lol at Vokoun's post-game interview.

You know he just feels like saying..."yeah, you know, we kinda suck right now, but, you know, I was pretty damn good tonight, and, you know, we held them off."

Watching Kulikov and Ellerby play at the same time, you sort of get a new respect for just how good Kulikov is, but is very quiet about it. For such a young defender he is incredibly steady. Such a good player for us.

I love it. Islanders and Ottawa both win and the Panthers decide to do the same thing. Stupid!

Did you expect them to lose every game the rest of the year or something?
Do you think these players want to lose? No player wants to lose.

No, smart. Learn to win. play your hearts out. especially at home, in front of some really gutsy diehard fans.

Speaking of fans, lots of hawks fans, lots of fun, they were awesome.

Nothing hilarious about that. In fact, it's absolutely true. In some cases, these guys are playing for contracts, for others, they're playing to prove they can play in the NHL.

The kind of win during the tank times really stings hard because the Hawks outplayed us throughout most of the game. Why does Vokoun have to be so damn good?!?! Ugh. He completely stole the game for us and this was the best game I've seen Booth play in for awhile. I can't blame the guys for being excited about this win. They beat the Stanley Cup Champions and a team that had won their last eight games. No team is obviously going to literally "tank it" when most of these guys are trying their hardest to earn a spot next season.

Just because we want them to lose doesn't mean they're just going to show up and let the opposing team humiliate them. I said this last game.

Don't worry, they're going to lose. This team is too bad not to lose. They're trying their hearts out because most of these guys are fighting for roster spots in the NHL next year.

Fact is, most of these guys are really bad, and don't belong in the NHL.

The only reason they won tonight was because of Vokoun, and Vokoun won't be doing this every night, as we all know.

We'll get a very good pick.

You couldn't catch the game? If so, then let's not be too demanding on the reports about the players.

Kennedy looked alright. He played a checking line role, and he seems to fit the mold pretty well. Plus, he seems like he can give an offensive slant to thing as well, which is a bit of a bonus. But honestly, i have to see the kid some more. Plus, i wanna catch him in person, but i couldn't make the game tonight unfortunately.

Looked like he finishing his checks. That's about all. He didn't do much offensively.
Best players were Vokoun, Booth, Repik, and Reasoner.

As long as Ellerby and Callahan are on this team, I definitely believe in the tank. Those two are making Bryan Allen look like Scott Stevens.

Ellerby was ungodly awful tonight. He has alot of physical tools, but needs to work on his decision making.

Yeah, Kennedy was solid. I can't remember anything notable (positive or negative) that he did.

Now that Booth fellow, oh boy! He had all kinds of speed and energy.

ok now your comments on ellerby are getting a little ridiculous. was he horrendous tonight? yes. the kids is 22 you are acting like he is a veteran. not every kid is kulikov. allen is easily way worse than ellerby i mean for god sakes allen cant even hold the puck. ellerby has all the tools, he just doesn't know how to use them at this level yet. ellerby has been pretty bad lately and yes this is good for the tank, but you already crucifying him is just wrong.

While he wants the high pick, I'm sure this is one that Tallon marked on his calendar. I'm sure he and the boys enjoyed it.

Now go out and lose on Thursday!

Solid. Made one bad pass that stood out. Had one nice hit that stood out . Otherwise played his role as a bottom 6 forward without incident.

everyone's playing for jobs, for minutes, for careers. even guys like samsonov. they couldn't care less about whether tallon gets the 4th versus 5th pick overall. and that's how it should be. really, tallon has taken a baseball bat to this team's knees. they'll keep fighting, and i wouldn't want anything different. and they will win some more games. we just have to hope they don't win as many as the isles or the sens or the devils...

Did I call him a bust? Don't believe I did.

Fact is, he's pretty bad right now. The last time we had this debate he was sent down to Rochester the next day.

He has upside, but he's downright terrible right now.

i only poked around at some highlights and watched a few longer stretches (chunk in the first period and the last 10 minutes or so) but... what on earth??? he wasn't downright terrible. not from what i saw. i don't know why you're focusing your hate on him. fact is, almost everyone on the team had a pretty poor night.
