I think I speak for everyone when I say you lucky *******.
My wife was the one with the awesome answer.
We rode down the elevator and Walzie was like two feet away from me. He kept glancing at us with a small smirk. He could tell that both my wife and I were vibrating with excitement but we weren't going to cross the line and gush at him. He was also in the middle of a conversation about some upcoming PR initiatives with the Wild and we didn't want to interrupt.
As we were getting off the elevator, he flashed a giant smile at my wife and mouthed "Thank you" with a wink. She about melted.
I'm working on a blog post about it. We toured the press area and frankly, there are some amazing things that happened during the tour and it was probably the best experience I've had related to Wild hockey.
We are still buzzed about it. Saw a lot of very awesome things and at the end, the young gentleman that led us around for the second intermission and the first 7 minutes of the third said this;
"Thank you for being respectful of people and players spaces."
Oh, and I'm taller than Wes Walz!

Bozak...i can tell you they were probably relieved beyond measure that they got a pair of respectful appreciative fans for the in-game. It goes a long way toward the attitudes of staff, players, and personalities when the person they're escorting around isn't a loud gaggle of jackasses trying to outdo themselves with "witty" comments--you had a great time and probably made it easier for them to show the next winners a great time too--Congrats!

Winning 1 out of your last 17 games is ****ing exciting, I wish I was an Av's fan and not a fan of the most boring team on the planet who actually might have a shot at the playoffs!
But they got that lottery pick and are on their way to another one! For some people, that's TEN times better than winning more than one game in a calendar year!
