A road win against your divisional opponent is big no matter what.

Every game is going to be tough from now on.

I didn't know Dallas was in the Northwest now, or did the Flames move to the pacific?

Well the Flames do have more Pacific Division titles than Northwest Division titles...

last time I check the Flames and the Stars are fighting for the same playoff spots....

so big deal if they are on separate division technically.

Did we actually just hit a post and it went in. . . . i need to see a video review . . . . .and then a slow motion video review . . . . frame by frame from 20 different angles . . . . . .

this game was won by three players on the flames, kipper, regher, and the anton. The second that 3rd goal in the first period was scored i had a bad feeling, but luckily kipper was, well kipper, the big F U you ain't gettin past me beast of a goalie, then regher played a heck of a game, and anton was one of the best on the ice i think. these guys allowed us to win the game. Hopefully tomorrow's game everyone picks it back up a notch.

truth be told, beginning of the game most everyone was out in left field, but he was there when we needed him the most.

playoffs have nothing to do with divisions, if you don't get the difference between a division and a conference, then I don't know what to say

At this point in time it has no effect, the chances of anyone besides L.A catching the amount of SO wins we have is very slim.

2 Points is the only thing we can hope for on any given night, no matter the form it comes in.

******* YEAH!!! Great win boys!!

Kipper really kept us in the game in the 3rd because the Stars came and pushed really hard and he came up with some HUGE saves! If we can sneak out a win tomorrow against the Desert Dogs that will put some distance between us and some other teams and I think that will be a huge step for the Flames to solidify a spot in the playoffs. Hopefully they have enough left in the tank to pull it off. Either way this was a great win and a great effort by the team. Again Kipper was amazing in the 3rd.

Just a couple of quick thoughts on the game

Great to see us jump out to that early 3-0 lead for sure! Shows we have great offensive power. Good to see Bourque back to his old form on his current goal scoring streak...i knew he would and just adds another strong dynamic to the team!

Sure we gave up the lead but we need to take into consideration that Dallas is fighting just as hard as us, as we were tied with them in the standings so did you really expect the Stars to just lay down and give up? They needed this win as much as us and really gave us a run for our money...so good on them for fighting back! BUT the Flames held on and Kipper was outstanding, we came out with the 2 points and that is HUGE! Playoff game people! Lets take the positives out of this and i'm sure that even though they got the win, they will get an ear full from the coach to stop that from happening again..but like I said, the Stars fought hard to come back, just as desperate for a playoff spot as us. In the end the FLAMES won!

Here's hoping for another huge win tomorrow night to distance ourselves more

GO FLAMES GO

I've been griping about them giving up the first goal lately, ironically they score three off the bat and its a nail biter, haha.

Yeah I'd say so.

If Kiprusoff doesn't win the Vezina now, it's highway robbery.

Yeah SR I saw that as well and was going to make some witty comment about it until it completely passed my mind after the stars had tied the game!.

I got a good chuckle out of it.

Giving up that many shots, the flames did not deserve the win
