helm's goal was a total fluke.

shot from the faceoff dot to quick's left that went through 3 players, deflected off one of them and trickled through the goalie rolling on it's side.

Detroit's looked good in puck battles, but still making a lot of silly passes.

Lol, Zetterberg has been playing too much NHL 11, just skating around the perimeter of the zone with protect puck button pressed...

Didn't even realize the game was on... kept thinking along the lines of "stupid west coast trips"

Pretty boring period, but I'd rather boring than eventful and terrible defence.

Something other than Warrior? Wonder what happened to his big money deal with Easton. It had a few more years left AFAIK.

Little sounds about right.. They had basically no o-zone time.

Not the best period of hockey, but we definitely had the best chances. Bad goal to let in from Quick. We need to start building on it and not let LA anywhere near the net.

I'm always scared when Kopitar has the puck, damn that guy can play. Keep him and Brown away from the puck and even Penner. New team syndrome is not a myth.

We need to shoot more and be stronger in the neutral zone. Get it behind Quick and set it up from there.

He was on the last shift. He just came off the ice. Go sprint non stop for 30 seconds and then come back and have a conversation with someone. It isn't easy.

They definitely had some really good defensive plays but Bert had a terrible turnover at our blue line and we can't get that pass out of the zone to the other side well enough. Datsyuk is the best at penetrating the zone so if you are not called Datsyuk or Zetterberg, then dump it in the corner and chase it, no use turning it over at the blueline and getting an aggressive LA counterattack going the other way.

Couldn't agree more... Zetterberg just dumps Datsyuk the puck in the neutral zone because he cant carry it himself, and then shoots it if he gets it near the net...
