Ok, gotta say I'm surprised to see how this hit caught everybody including some major sponsors.

Wow.

Both the Canadian and the U.S. governments must work together in order to fix the mess in hockey.

I have a welding class, tried to weld tonight, still had the shakes I'm so pissed off it isn't funny.

Another POS is Claude Julien. You could see the Habs were upset in the third period last night. At the end of the period Lucic and Horton trying to start crap while a players career in jeopardy shows the lack of class Julien has. I remember Pat Burns if he was alive and the coach he would of torn Lucic and Horton to pieces for the stuff they pulled. No class coach, no class players, and no class organization.

I still say the parents can do some serious financial damage by going for a civil suit against the NHL, Bruins, Chara, and you can even get the coach with the words he has spoken in the media.

How much the NHL would stand to lose if AC pulled the plug?

Same here. Maybe it was "la goutte qui fait déborder le vase" (Don't know how to put this in english )

Still, this is just threatening. Unless to confirm the pull-out of their sponsorship... Would be nice to see how Bettman reacts to this, knowing that it might ensue in other sponsors pulling out.

Molson should follow suit. Pull the sponsorship deal. Immediately.

Might be smart to flood Air Canada's marketing department with letters of support for the position they've taken... as well as hit up other sponsors and ask the same of them.

I'm absolutely disgusted.

And the Habs owners as well. It's, alas, all that the Habs' owners can do.

The sponsors and the shareholders are the absolute top dogs in the NHL, and it was only a matter of time before someone intervened. This is big.

I'm not disgusted with the play, I think everyone is over reacting. But I think the overall headshots issue needs to be addressed and if Patches can be the catalyst to get the NHL acting, then I'm on board.

craig.landry@aircanada.ca

Craig Landry is Air Canada's VP of Marketing.

Send him your emails to tell him you want Air Canada to pull the plug. I am against boycotting Montreal Canadiens products, aka not buying Habs memorabelia, but I am in support of boycotting NHL sponsors that don't affect the Montreal Canadiens to send a message to the NHL.

But why do people from the outside have to come in, and say, "WTF is wrong with you people"? How can the NHL exec's think they are doing a rational, logical job when it comes to the protection players? Sidney Crosby is out. You'd think that alone would turn things up a notch. It shouldn't have to come to this. It just proves how far behind the NHL is in it's thinking.

I just e-mailed a thank you e-mail to Air Canada. Not sure if I got the right e-mail but I'm sure someone there will forward it to the correct department.

I'm sure the Toronto Maple Leafs wouldn't be happy losing those dollars in naming rights.

Majors in Bell, Molson, Ford and others should follow suit.
