Warren Wiebe - America the Beautiful

Many, many thanks to KingsVision for making a video of this. It hasn't existed online until today. The late Warren Wiebe singing "O Canada" and "America the Beautiful" from Dave Taylor's final NHL game.

They need to sing "America the Beautiful" more often.

Wow, does that bring back memories! I miss the Kings having a go to singer for the anthems, especially in big games.

It was always such a treat to be at a game in the forum when he performed the anthem(s).

So sad he took his own life.

Thanks so much for posting this. I'd love to see them play this tape for the performance at a future game (perhaps the last legends night?). I bet it would get a huge reaction out of the crowd.

The sound quality of the recording probably wouldn't cut it, however.

He sounds so much like Stevie Wonder.

America the Beautiful was written at the top of Pikes Peak, which coincidentally, I can see right now outside my window. Just thought that was kinda cool.

FWIW, that was amazing, but I think that he did MUCH better - especially in the playoffs
