Compare jones and mackinnon to an NHL player

Hi guys, ill be honest and say that I haven't done too much research on this years draft class but I'm curious to see what people expect these 2 kids to develop into and what type of stats they'll put up

Jones's standard comparison is a better Petro.

I'd say Mackinnon is a worse Duchene/Nash/Hall, never got the hype.

I think he's more physical than Petro.

Maybe it's because you're comparing him to someone 4 inches and 40 pounds heavier lol ...

I'm not going to say Nash ... I'll say Seguin, he looks like him in every way IMO.

Well the 4 inches and 40 pounds would make him better suited for his style than Mackinnon is, would it not?

Don't know if this qualifies under your restrictions but fir Jones I see a better skating Pronger, but without the Physical domination, but don't get me wrong the kid can still finish a check...he's just not at that elite level yet.Now he may grow into it,but even if he does I don't see him ever being as aggressive as Pronger.

So Jones potential=Pronger without aggression, and Physical dominance, but a better skater
hope this helps

I think that's the joke. Sort of like how Evander Kane would only be compared to Iginla in his draft year.

Seth Jones reminds me of Jerome Iginla.

I agree. He's Tyler Seguin with Taylor Hall's speed/explosiveness.

Not in the NHL anymore, but Zubov would be a solid comparison for Jones.

Agreed with the Hall/Seguin mix for MacKinnon. Upper body of Seguin, lower body of Hall.
