I would have loved to. I'm actually getting ready to move within town, so I'm fairly busy this month. We have 3 guys within 45 mins of Hamilton, it's a little over a 2 hour trip for me, so although usually i'd usually go, I didn't this year. Which is unfortunate. OHL in Sarnia/London is the furthest I think I'll be going in March. Other than the OHL Cup of course, and maybe a big playoff game in the O, if it's not too much of a hastle. I did bookmark it and keep an eye on how things went. Ty Learn (Southern Tier) has actually been one of my favorite prospects this year. He may not be a 1st rounder, but regardless of where he goes I think whichever team lands him will be very happy they grabbed him up. I actually hope he ends up in the Western Conference since i tend to see those teams a little more.

I'm personally not a big fan of the way the OMHA does their playoffs (particularly the SCTA). I'd much prefer it be a conference set up where you see the teams ranked and play seeded, (much like how ETA sets up their side of it), and the finals are just simply the winner of ETA and SCTA brackets. I suppose it's beneficial to scouts, I just don't think it's fair to the teams that have been the best all year to have it come down to a round robin tournament.

I was away from my computer this weekend, I get back on and take a break and see what's going on here, and realize I have 4 pages to read through if I wanna see what's going on lol. Getting close to OHL Cup time, this seems to happen on here around this time of year.

Does anyone have any sleepers or "out of left field" players that might crack the top 10?
Believe it or not. Jaden Lindo. Some people/scouts/gms love this kid. There is no doubt his game is elevated during these playoffs. He'll stand in front of the net and take punishment during the power play trying to screen the goalie. He has some nice hands too displayed with a wicked deflection in game#3. There is no harder working player on the Marlies. Lindo has two way abilities. Good penalty killer. HE plays a power forward style but can skate real nice.

To me unlike Bourne or Hargrave. Lindo plays every shift likes it his last. Under rated skating ability. An effortless powerful stride, goood nose for the net. He seems Fearless. Lindo played up last year in the OHL cup. Very mature physically, he looks like he could pass for 20 yrs old.

This is another important factor to me. Ive seen first hand how much respect and how much Lindo listens to everyword Strong says to him, than implements it out there. I cant imagine a more coachable kid.

He's come a long way in a pretty short time since playing AA in Brampton not too long ago. Good on the kid!

Lindo in the top 10 might be optimistic though, i believe he is a sleeper.

Spencer Watson is more of a sleeper on these boards to me. Rarely mentioned in the top ten. To me he is better than Bennett, Bourne, Dal colle. Hargrave is equally interesting and worrysome. To me S.Watson is every bit as good as McCann. S.Watson's game is unbelieveable.

I don't know about Watson, I have seen the Rebels play a lot this year and believe that Bourne and Hargrave are both very over rated. They say you can't teach size. Bennett and Dal Colle are much better players.

New to posting, I have been following the thread for many months now and see trends of likes and dislikes from various posters. Mapleleaf979, Crottenham, Chewerjones are all a good read. Question for you all, do you think some opinions of prospects are upwardly biased based on a player playing up in earlier seasons?

Marlies may be up there with the best MM teams ever. IMO. Wow went 53 games unbeaten till yesterday. Impressive to say the least.

Is there any prospects from the Quinte Red Devils this year? Heard the bulls had scouted heavily the Valardi kid from Kingston? Is he a Top prospect? If so what rounds would he be most likely to go.

Hes really stepped up hus game in the playoffs. Im not a huge fan, but I know others are starting to move him up thier rankings.

Also look at Brody Morris and Josh Mcguire off of Quinte.

Hoping to be at Mowhawk all weekend, but will deffinetly be there for Saturday and Sunday.

I cant see anyone taking down Southern Tier. They are just too deep.

It will be interesting to see how teams react to the 'win and your in' OHL Cup feel.

Rebels come back from a 3-0 deficit. Herbst was pulled after the 3rd goal. Rebels backup played great coming off the bench. Hit 4 posts during the game. Fabbri is a tremendous heart-and-soul player. Had 1+1 and blocked a shot in the last few seconds of the game. He and Miller were double shifted most of the game. Ho-Sang got absolutely rocked by DiPerna in the first minutes of the game. McDavid had 3 very nice assists.

Rebels intensity was the difference. It's a shame Fabbri missed the first 3 games.

There's still the OHL Cup for the Rebels if a comeback is unsuccessful!

Is it true Kingston is looking at drafting Spinozzi and Dermott to improve D ?
Did I hear that Magyar is committed to NCAA?
Any comments appreciated.

The only team ive seen handle the Marlboros is Belle Tire. Id love to see the Marlboros vs the Barons again as well. Its pointless to have them ranked in the OHL cup if there are busy playing nationals. Should be a great game tonight .

Tigers, who do you see as ST's biggest test this weekend in the omha championships?

Marlboros win 3-2. McDavid with a highlight reel goal with 21 seconds left. I feel bad for anyone who missed his game. Phenomenal performance by both teams.

Mcguire is a hard working winger with some offensive touch and a solid two-way game, should go in the top 4 rounds. Morris is a d-man with good size and a physical game and could be a darkhorse mid round pick if his skating improves.

Marlboros win tonight 3-2 and win the GTHL playoffs.

Early in the first period MCdavid is CRUSHED by Centorame. He was slow to get up. I wondered if he was going to sit out for the rest of the game.

3rd period tied 2-2. Rebels take a penalty with 1:30 left. MArlboros on the PP blasting shots at Carty and then Mcdavid fetches the puck in the corner and does a 180 spin at lighting speed to shake the defender off his back and just flies to the net with 20 seconds left and dekes the goalie out darting out in front of the net and sliding it home...displaying lightning fast hands/will power/ IQ/talent. Mcdavid is so special its not even funny. No one can catch this kid when he is full speed. Im so impressed with Mcdavid i dont even know what to say. He has crushed the Rebels twice this season with last second goals. Actually all his life he has been doing this, almost exact scenarios and last minute goals. To be so good and want it so bad, game after game is something so special. Ive seen a few "top 10" guys who just put it in neutral and simply dont seem to care sometimes. There is no doubt this kid will go #1. Mcdavid cant be touched and i said this months ago and got ripped here. He is untouchable. Mcdavid paired with a sniper in the OHL is going to be checkmate. He had 1 assist tonight as well.

A few rushes tonight Mcdavid was dazzling...he puts the puck in the defenders skates and just tricks them with his moves. He goes around guys in such tight spaces .

One thing is clear to me. The 96's have caught up too Hosang. Its not boredom to me and others can view that and thats great. He has completely plateaued. If u have viewed him enough u would see this. Im not saying he isnt a good player anymore but im wondering where his game will be in 2 years. His game is flat now. His moves arent working like they once were. In my mind I would rather have Robert Fabbri on my team for sure. Let me just say u can see how much Fabbri wants to win and see his passion. Fabbri has an incredible Wrist shot. I could see Hosang falling below top 5. Like i said a few days ago i would not draft him in my top 10.

I think alot of people watching this game said ...wow who is that goalie for the Rebels? Dawson Carty was unbelieveable tonight. I wouldnt be surprised to see Herbst sitting most of the time at the OHL cup. This kid was unreal. Alot of hightlight reel saves . I was a little stunned to see Herbst on the Bench and than after a few minutes i was like wow that kid is good. Maybe the best goalie performance i have seen this year .

Its tough to be honest with you. I dont think that there is a team that can. That said, it is a one game playdown, so anything can happen. Perhaps York Simcoe with Taylor on his game.

If there is, ill be sure to post it. Probably a bit early given that the game ended an hour ago.
