Not bad. 2 perfects with the potential for 1 more. 2 off by a game with the potential for 1 more. 2 really bad picks.

I still can't get over last night.... incredible, that was the happiest moment of my life. Pure euphoria and relief. I think I cared more about this game 7 than I would about the Stanley Cup. Doubt anything will ever top this, pretty much the emotional peak for me personally as a Canuck fan.

Habs won last night too, which was nice... here's to hoping they win again tonight!

I think "they did it!" will be sweeter than "they didn't screw the pooch!"

Pens-Lightning is intense as all hell if anyone's interested. And knock on wood, the better team so far tonight is losing.

WSH in 5 perfect
PHI in 4 well, at least I got the winner, but Philla is my bet for Cup winner too, so I hope they get their **** together
BOS in 7 perfect
TB in 6 almost

CHI in 7 so close...
SJ in 6 perfect
DET in 7 way too much faith in Yotes
ANA in 6 exact opposite
Not bad, I'm 2nd in the office right now with 12pts.

anyone who wants to participate, before the games start, post your series winners and the number of games. ideally you get the series exactly right, and earn 0 points, but you get one point for every game off you are. if you choose vancouver in 7, and chicago wins in 7, that's one point. if chicago were to sweep, that's 4 points. if vancouver sweeps, that's 3 points. the winner is the person with the fewest points, obviously. We can keep a running score throughout the 4 rounds, too.

So here are my predictions:

Vancouver in 6
San Jose in 5
Detroit in 6
Anaheim in 7

Washington in 5
Philly in 5
Boston in 5
Pittsburgh in 6

(time to brag. playing this game, I had a total score of 1 in the 2003 2nd round, I was off on Anaheim by one game)
1+1+2+2+1+2+2+2=13

What sort of metric is that? (I have 12 pts using our office metric of 1 pt for guessing winner or 3 pts for guessing exact series result )

interesting, Boston over Philly.

I want Boston to win, but if I'm making predictions I'm going with Philly. Boston just about blew it against Montreal, whom they should have despatched much sooner. Yeah, Philly sorta did the same thing, but they looked better, and more importantly, they had one of those "killer instinct" game 7s where they proved that they were beyond a doubt the better team that deserved to advance. (see: NJ-TOR, 2001, TOR-STL 1993, PHI-TOR 2003, DET-PHX 2009, and so on)

And you laughed at my "Chicago in 7" prediction. Using this scoring system (which I wasn't paying attention to when I made my picks ), My prediction was better than your "Vancouver in 5."

Crosby still suffering severe PCS. Now admits he probably had 2 concussions in 4 days. Why on Earth the Penguins let him get back in the ice so soon after the first one is beyond me... In the regular season no less!

I am what is known as a Crosby hater - I enjoy arguing that he is overrated and am not a fan - but his concussion severley dissapoints me. Is a shame were missing out on such a talent in his prime.

It was Van in 6 I took (which it should have been). At least I got the winner right.

Im no Crosby ''fan'' but I hope his career doesn't go down the Forsberg/Lindros path. Would be a shame.

Gord Miller just said that Roloson just joined Hasek and Cujo as the only goalies to get a playoff shutout after the age of 40. Not that I don't believe him, but can anyone confim that Bower never did it? That seems off to me.
