Keep in mind the Sedins had Keith and Seabrook in round 1, and then Suter and Weber draped all over them last round. Thats pretty tough - San Jose has no such dominant defensive pair. I'm looking for them to explode in this round, but that could just be wishful thinking as well.
Anyone need to borrow a crystal ball? I've got one if need be.

You called Vancouver-Detroit in the West finals "a guarantee" bro. :p

I'm glad you were wrong on that and right on this. SJ just seems to be collapsing mentally.

And if not for injuries to Zetterberg/Franzen, and then Cleary and Bertuzzi in game 7 I had that one nailed as well.

I thought that hit on Sedin was fine, but everything after than was a bit much.

I don't mean the hit was clean, but there's nothing wrong with running the other team's best players.

The reason was a joke. Marleau jumped Bieksa, not the other way around.

Its cool to know that the NHL could care less about useless goons trying to break their Hart trophy-calibre player's backs though!

More people showed up to Boogard's funeral than to the Thrashers final rally to save their team.

I was honestly expecting a massive knee jerk reaction to what Crosby is going through right now, but it hasn't happened yet.

Huh? What would be the point of showing up at a rally for a team that's pretty much guaranteed to move because the owners sold the team in silence?

Winnipeg was basically sold when that rally was held.. 30,000 people showed up.

I don't remember the exact circumstances of the "save Winnipeg" rallies, but I wouldn't bother going to a meaningless rally if I were a Thrashers fan who suddenly had the team ripped out.

Or.. Atlanta just doesn't care about hockey, as a whole.

Not surprising, considering they have a team in the other 3 major sports.

Sharks shot themselves in both feet today with stupid penalties like the delay of game and the too many men. Plus the five early PPs they failed to connect on.

By the way, look who's leading the playoffs in scoring......

I'm avoiding the opinions of the main boards, so...

Who's the MVP for the Canucks right now in the postseason? Daniel for his round one performance (probably not), Kesler for his round two, or Hanky here in round three?

Or do you go to a consistent player like Luongo, or even Hamhuis? I'd probably still lean towards Kesler, because he's just been incredible all-around, but the Sedins are shedding the "choker" reputation pretty fast.

Speaking of former chokers, as a fan of the game, I hope Thornton isn't injured. Obviously, I want Vancouver to win, but I'm glad JT and Marleau are having a solid series. Always liked those two as players.

Equally enjoyable to have Heatley sucking balls and being absolutely invisible out there.

Yeah I'd go Kesler for his great all around play. Then Hank, then Luongo probably. The Sedin's choking is just about over I'd say at this point. Don't think you can say it anymore.

My Conn Smythe pick for this year is leading. He's making me look like a genius!

They never choked in 2009 or 2010 either, they were eliminated by the obvious superior team in Chicago.

Now they have a good supporting cast around them - coincidence?

Oh I don't think they ever choked either, I'm just saying from a public standpoint no one can say they did anymore

Yeah, basically.

Remember they both had 22 points in 20 playoff games the past two years before this one - and people are acting surprised that they are at the top.

It's laughable, they are the same players - the team around them has steadily gotten better.

Well, I'll go for a team I like over a team I loathe unless there's an obvious disparity...

I think the disparity is getting pretty obvious...
