@ Um. I can see where you are coming from but I have to side with the rest of the folks here. I think it is very much needed and frankly ... all that matters is if Semin will be receptive to the constructive criticism. Now if Arnott can get Semin to reduce his offensive zone penalties by say ... 40-50% I'd be a happy camper.

If you look at the announcement at the top...this GDT might not even be accessible past the first period or so.
We should pick a totally random message board and just all show up there at 8pm. Like "Antique Hairpin Collectors Emporium" or something. Confuse the hell out of them.
The only negative thing he really said was he could use some more discipline in his game and he needs to get on him when he does something wrong, but he said that in the context of explaining how thats part of getting him to understand that he's part of a team and he really needs to feel a part of that and that means really talking to him and developing some good communication. Also, Arnott called the whole team out after game one and that was a win. He has made it clear the whole team will be held to a higher standard. I think he's the first guy since Feds who could really coach Semin.
no doubt semin may need guidence but you dont say it out loud it may piss semin off
The most notable thing about Semin's play lately has been his physicality. He's finishing checks a lot more often than I can ever recall.
Yes, he's playing like he knows he has a 36 year old, Cup winning vetern to watch his back. What a difference Arnott has made in such a short amount of time. Almost like he is picking up where Federov left off.

enjoy it while it lasts man, soon as you lose its back to whatever superstitious thing worked before. Never underestimate how superstitious this board can be lol. Poor choice of avatar theme or GDT will decimate the caps chances to win

Dont worry about it. Thankfully,in the name of Reason, the outcome of the Caps games arent predicated by who starts a GDT on HF boards.

www.reddit.com/r/caps is a pretty good site. I'm pretty sure I've seen people from here over there. /hockey is good too. I'll start a GDT thread at /caps now, for when the site goes down so we can chat it up. Of course just a temporary substitute.
