Caps re-sign Verot

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Washington Capitals re-signed centre Darcy Verot to a one-year contract Friday.

Verot played in 37 games last season for the Capitals, leading the team with 135 penalty minutes while earning two assists. He also appeared in 28 games for Portland of the American Hockey League, recording three goals and five assists.

Not a big fan of Verot's. I see too much of an attempt to injure in his game.

I wouldn't complain if he was on my team, though.

I hate the little ****er.

He's not one of those guys you love if he's on your team and hate when he's on someone else's, I ****ing hated his guts when he was Penguins property.

The only reason I would want to have him on my team is so that he wouldn't have a chance to injure any of my players.

Might aswell change his name from Verot to Darcy Intent to injure, thats all he can do.

He goes high on a lot of his hits, and instead of bracing for a hit, he generally throws his stick or elbow in the way, towards the other guy's head.

You have to admire his guts. He's going to get "his" from Brashear or Domi sooner rather than later, but he doesn't seem to want to let up. I think he knows what's going to keep him in the NHL, if anything.

Sorry Caps fans, I'll stop "trolling" now.
