He should have gone last year, preferrably right after the olympics. 3 failed tournaments in a row, he has no place to coach #1 (Not right now) Country in ice hockey.

Russia is like Brazil, sure you may beat them but you wont see the amount of pure skill anywhere else. Last year after failed WC2010 in football, Brazils staff had to gtfo, Bykov needs too now.

If they do replace Bykov, who do you think they will select?

Obviously Bykov has to go, if they keep him on we can kiss our chances at Sochi goodbye.

My choice would be Bilyaletdinov as head coach along with Yurizinov (for tactics) and Bragin (Players coach) as the assistants.

Or we could always just bring back Tikhonov

Yurzinov is too old his coaching career is over. Bilyaletdinov is the only one - not too old and successful, but he's not leaving Ak Bars for NT.
