This should be good!!

On the positive note, it should be over by the first period so I won't have to stay up too late

Happy Birthday.

Hope they win for your sake.

It's bad enough that you're getting screwed out of one of the 24 hours on your birthday.

Not going to see the game (too late).....

No expectations, and they usually win when I don´t have any (wich may be an expectation)....
What a paradox.

LGR!

Avery, Eminger scratched. Avery 'inconsistent' says Torts. Wants to get Christensen in.

Girlroy is going to get completely destroyed by the San Jose forward units tonight. It'll be amusing to watch.

Ok, so take out the 5 biggest wins and the five biggest losses and you'll find out more about teams. Since teams can have bad games or bad luck, eliminating these kind of games will help you find out how a team has played the whole year. those big wins and losses are "aberration" games.

Since we know they are a -7 without those big wins, lets see what happens when we take away the bad losses. 5-1 loss to Colorado is the biggest loss. Four other three goal losses, -7 + 16 = +9. I'm sure those other teams in the playoffs (Tampa, Montreal, Buffalo, Canes) are around that number if you take out the top 5 big wins and top five big losses. (Buffalo -2, Canes -7, Habs +4, Lightning +3) Sure that's not +9, but having a couple more 2 goal wins over 1 goal wins isn't that important,

To stay on topic, I feel we have a shot tonight, even though the Sharks have a lot of depth. If we can get a forecheck going, there defense isn't great at moving the puck up the ice.

Take away those 5 and we're -7 for the rest of the season.
Why take away blowouts? The Rangers scored the goals, but more importantly didnt give up 4 or 5 in those games. Every team has a few blowouts in their favor each year. Still think its relative.

Agreed. And I dont remember any time this year were the Rangers were blown out by 6 or more goals, which is surprising. Could mean we are overdue

The question on everyone's mind. WTF has Gilroy done to deserve to play every game ? Clearly Eminger took Torts' daughter out for a nice steak dinner and never called her the next day, as a result he's been banished to the press box.

Huge game tonight... good part about having Christensen in is that if it goes to a shootout, he is one of the best, just sit him on the bench for the rest of the game
