I just hate seeing former Sabres be wildly successful with other teams, I guess

It got tipped, although it didn't go through his skates, it went right past his stick. not an easy one, but definitely a good chance nonetheless

No, it showed the defenseman deflecting the puck away before it even got to him. Which isn't a shock considering Vanek holding up forced Hecht to stop as well and made blatantly obvious where the passing lane is.

I don't think Miller did see that one, but he was technically sound and absorbed the puck well there.

That's why you go into the butterfly, people.

No. There is no entitlement. If someone wants the results, do the work.

I miss Butler. Myers-Sekera hasn't been near as effective so far.

But I think most of us want the results that the minimalist GDT's have been giving us

Sekera needs to be paired with Montador or (good) Weber.

Leafs were better that period, and they're gonna completely own us in the 2nd. Our team blows in the 2nd period.

They had plenty of chances, but that MacArthur goal gave the Leafs life. There have been some sloppy plays and way too many turnovers. They need to clean those up and continue putting the puck on Reimer. Not a bad first period by any stretch.

Yes. And I would make minimalist GDTs, except with my record of Vanek and Miller getting hurt in my 2 attempts, I'm pretty sure the entire board would kill me if I tried again.

So I am dependent on others to make minimalist GDTs.

I agree. Things have turned around so much so for Butler. Although Leopold-Montador have been close to their peak tonight so far.

Whoever is paired with Monty is playing their best. Coincidence? I don't think so. He needs to be re-signed.
