Jason Arnott used to wear #7 in Edmonton until being traded in 1998.
Bobby Dollas wore #6 in 1998.

Dollas was then traded to Pittsburgh for Joseph Beranek who was again traded back to Pittsburgh for German Titov, who was later signed as a UFA by Anaheim, the same team that we got Dollas for, for Darby Bannister. German Titov isn't even German... he's Russian. Arnott is currently playing in Washington, who has plenty of Russian players. Who did Gagner get injured against?

Exactly.

=42

Mind. Blown. Pow.
This is probably my favorite post in here.

If Whitney comes back for the last 5 games he will be out 42 games...

We're also f***ed in 10 years when it's the 42nd season in the NHL.

#Oilers Shawn Horcoff left the game with a medical boot on his left ankle. He'll get it looked at tomorrow in Edmonton.

Soooo.... what stat category did Horcoff reach the magic number 42 in today's game?

There is some deeper meaning to this, guys. It may seem twisted now, but I'm sure it'll be worth it in the end.

He lost his 420th face-off on that shift.

Maybe that did it.

i read a memory book when i was younger, can't remember what it was called

Anyway, the 42nd US state (in alphabetical order) is Tennessee, and the capital city is Nashville - who we played when hemsky got injured by the guy who we were looking at.

The same book taught a way to convert numbers to words and vice versa.

The 4 represents the sound "r"
the 2 represents the sound "n"
vowels have no number representation and can be swapped between consonants.

My name is Ron so 42 has always been a number I associate with my name.

Sucks to have it associated with all the crap thats gone on this year

Just realized, 4-2 would also be the number representation for "Renney"

RNH needs to pull a Paajarvi and just go to Ryan Nugent... And then we should draft him just to fit the 42 thing.
