Bryz will definitely not be a Duck for a LONG time. He will get at least a 5 year deal in free agency and it won't be from the Ducks. If Hiller is still suffering in the offseason, they won't declare it career ending that quickly. Maybe if he can't come back next season, but Bryz will be long locked up by then.
Yeah I'm not banking on it to happen or have any real hope but I would sure love it thats all I am saying.

Yeah I really doubt they'll give up on Hiller recovering before Bryzgalov is signed.
Hopefully Hiller's vertigo doesn't drag on into the offseason. If the uncertainty doesn't clear up we could end up with a situation like Scotty/Teemu's "retirements." It's really tough to plan an offseason when you have such a big piece who might or might not play.
Sucks to lose but it didn't surprise me. I mean c'mon, big game for the Ducks, could move up to a playoff spot but no...
Do you guys think we should sign Lilja in the offseason?
Is there something like post-retirement contract or smth, when we could sign him for 1 year to live in OC, and he must take one prospect to live in his house for a year. Maybe Clark?
Ok, actually no offense on Lilja, he works hard, but looks like his days ar over in the league. Cant complain really, he won multiple cups, right?

Agreed. Bryz is getting 5 years 5 mil per. from someone, maybe Washington.

From what I've heard from people with Vertigo, it's a life-long condition that can be "controlled", but never completely cured. I can't imagine a professional team wanting to be in a position to dress a goaltender, and then have him only play 3 or 4 minutes of the first period, get dizzy...and them having to go with the back-up on a continual basis. I hate to say it, but we might've seen Hiller's last professional game.

It's not always life long, it can be but definitely not guaranteed.
