Horcoff out 7-10 days with Hairline Fracture

He left in a medical boot after finishing the game. The injury happened when Paajarvi blasted a slapshot into his ankle on the PP. He will get it evaluated when the team arrives back in Edmonton.

Re-tweeted by the Oilers Twitter and Tencer.

On the list of callups... Call up O'Marra god dammit.

On Hartikainen recall... (no official word just yet):

Hartikainen.

He's not a centre but the Oilers need some size and they also need to find some goals.

When does OKC's contract with the Oilers finish up? I wouldn't be surprised if they already wanted out of the affiliation.

Paajarvi's got a bomb.

Call up Hartikainen to show case the talent Edmonton has in the system.

Subtract Horcoff from our current lineup and I think even the Avs can beat us. We should be assured one of Larsson, RNH, or Couturier.

And I agree on the call-up. Let's give Teemu a shot. He's played C before and he deserves a look-see. Sorry Barons, I guess the playoff aren't in the cards this year. Our guys are dropping like flies.

I heard that O'Marra may be injured. Is there anything to that?

Reddox can play C, so our call-up doesn't have to be a C.

OKC plays on Tues and Wed, while the Oilers don't play until Thurs, so I would be surprised to see any call ups before at least Wednesday, if they prove necessary.

In fact, maybe they'll send a couple guys down in the meantime to play a game or two?

When I saw the FSN replay of the shot it looked like Horcoff was staring blankly at the boards as he coasted directly in front of Paajarvi. I laughed out loud. What was he thinking? Paajarvi's not the only one with blame here.

Oh well. This is a perfect lottery pick storm.

I did as well, then rewound it a few times to try to figure out what Horcoff was thinking. And all I could do is laugh

Maybe he figures he has perfected banking shots in off his body from in close to the net and he want to get better at it from further away.

Send all the Oilers to OKC, win the championship down there, and maybe we'll get into the NHL playoffs with a wildcard entry.

Maybe Bettman will feel so sorry for the Oil that he will insist that the other owners help out a great Canadian franchise by granting them the first three picks.

So Jacques was limping to the dressing room and Brule is feeling fuzzy after the Letang hit.......
I would like to take a look at some people. Id like to see (Teemu Hartikainen), said Renney.

Sounds good, I wouldn't mind seeing Vande Velde as well, but it might be in the better interest of the players development to leave him down for a bit longer so that he continues to grow his offensive confidence in the AHL.
