They should exchange the complete rosters of the Oilers and the Barons and see how they do for a game or two. Too bad league rules won't allow for this.

Careful what you wish for. We don't want to catch the Avs.

Anyone know the answer to this? It would be a great tryout.

Man, if JFJ and Brule are out... what will our lines look like?

We'll have Cogliano, Omarra, Fraser and ? playing center :pukes:

We'll have MPS and Eberle playing the wings on the first line... maybe we can call Stortini up... he could play wing on the 2nd line... he'd be great. PPG or less *pukes*

Oilers replace Giroux with Hartikainen. Jacques getting x-ray today, and is on crutches. Horcoff likely to play Thursday.

I didn't see but apparently he took a shot off his ankle. I read that in the Journal this morning.

Hopefully its not his back again.

JFJ was playing the best hockey of his career lately.

Gregor tweeted that JFJ was on crutches and going for X-Rays. So it must be a lower body type thing.

The story of JFJ's career. Somehow manages to get a serious injury and no one even knows how it happened. Everytime he looks like he's making some progress he get's injured. He might of been a player at some point cause he did show flashes of a decent 4th liner this year.

You remember the one or two game stint here when we rested some players prior to the playoffs in 05/06? Guy had some serious jump in his stride for a big man. Now he's just a shade of his former self speed wise.

All these injuries are due to a lack of an enforcer.

So why are both Crosby and Malkin out for the Pens and they have Cooke?

You mean there are other ways out there to win Cups? How dare you imply you can get elite players without drafting in the top 5 for five consecutive years.

Halls yeah.
Whitney no.
Horcoff no.
Hemsky is marginal, but its not like he got rocked he avoided a hip check and fell on his shoulder.
Peckham got concussed fighting, IE, enforcing...

I could go on...

Good call. Just look at how many guys of Datsyuk's and Zetterberg's level are picked every draft in the late rounds! It's easy to find superstars in the 7th round.

I'm pretty sure he's going back to the arguments made during the injury runs in previous years.

Sorry a lot of people on here require the sarcasm smile 24/7.

But it is funny getting responses from people. You get to hear things like Matt Cooke is an enforcer, that's just gold.

It's not so much where he was standing, as much as the direction he was facing and the expression on his face.
