Cool. Giroux hasn't been bad, but he hasn't been a big help, either. He'd do more good down in OKC, and since he's clearly not part of the big plan here, we don't need to see much more of him. Let's see Hartsky!
Semi-OT here, Matt Lashoff on re-entry, what would people think about giving him a look? With our terrbile defense and the injuries on top of that might be a decent filler with potential future upside?

Good for him, looking forward to seein him. Semi-OT here, Matt Lashoff on re-entry, what would people think about giving him a look? With our terrbile defense and the injuries on top of that might be a decent filler with potential future upside?
Wouldn't hurt. Nothing could at this point... *knocks on wood*
(Question, do other people have their 'edit' back now? I'm pretty sure some people have indicated that they got it back after the trade deadline but I still do not have the ability to edit one of my posts, thus if a mistake is made it stays there for good.)
I dunno, I vaguely remember reading a tweet by one of the TSN guys that they can't play during the remaining regular season either.
You're right, my bad.
From Bob Mac "One point to consider on FLA's Tim Kennedy being on re-entry waivers - if claimed, he can't play in reg season or playoffs for new team."

Yeah I have edit ability. I do not recall it going away or did you mean delete?
I wonder if the injury recall has to happen in a certain time span and so the had to or else they sacrifice one of the 4 recall moves? Just a shot in the dark really. Probably they just didn't think that far ahead.

From what I have seen with the Oilers & read about OKC, it might be wise to offer Giroux the same contract next season as he got this year.
He knows he will remain an injury call-up; and make good coin doing so...
And his experience / talent would be extremely valuable for the kids on the farm team.
does this make the 3rd call up since the deadline?
under the new cba I think teams are only allowed 4
I think I recall Stauffer or someone saying Giroux was a different kind of call up that does not count on the 4 allowed. But never gave any details about it. So I am not sure.

I'd be sad to see Giroux leaves the organization. But something tells me he still thinks he can make it to the bigs and will look to the team that gives him the best shot of doing so.
