I was at the game last night... wow this team sucks... They can't read play. they can't make more than 3 passes in a row connect. They can't shoot, they can't run... they have no creativity... Lack of talent.

It's really brutal...

With that being said, this was the worst game they played all year and they are without their two starting strikers.

Maybe I'm splitting hairs here, but to me, Maicon Santos, Martina and Gordon are all forwards. But, Martina is winger, while the other two are strikers who play in the middle of the offense.

You are correct. Wingers provide speed down the sides and service to the poachers in the middle. Missing the strikers means that Martina can be focused on much easier

This team just seems destined to come close and miss the playoffs again.

This team is just not good enough. Can't manufacture offense. Not even at home. Gee wonder why...

Dropping way too many points at home. This is bad. That's where we're supposed to get our playoff points. Oh well... we weren't supposed to make the playoffs this year anyway. Winter said we'd be **** this year.

Atleast JDG is playing great.

I don't really think this is bad. Yeah. it was nice to have some home games to start the season and it would have been nice to get some more points. But, this is a new coach, with a new philosophy and playing style and overturned roster.

Anyone who thought that the team should be hitting on all cylinders in the first 7 games was fooling themselves.

I have seen some progress. One of the most frustrating things about watching this team in the past is the kick and run style. They gave the ball away over and over. This team, from the games I have watched, is not tdoing that nearly as much. You can see there are some players that can and have embraced the new style of play and some who have yet to, or are not suited to it. But, overall, it's a much better quality of play than we saw in past seasons.

There have been games when they have failed to play this kind of game and it has shown, there have also been games where they played very well and didn't get the result. It's part of the process. Once they start playing the type of game Winter wants even 90% of the time, they will be getting much better results. They are also still in the process of adding players that can play this type of game at a decent level.

What this team needs is for fans to be a little more patient and understand where they are at in their transition.

this probably doesn't mean anything, but I was randomly looking at fifa 11 player's potential, and tony tchani supposedly has the most potential of all the mls. Pretty sweet, eh? Has he looked good so far? I just remember seeing the highlights of him scoring and getting sent of for his second yellow for celebrating too much!

Toronto FC and the Vancouver Whitecaps completed semifinal victories Wednesday and will head to an all Major League Soccer finals for the Nutrilite Canadian Championship.

Alan Gordon scored for a second straight match to lead Toronto FC over FC Edmonton 1-0, while defender Mouloud Akloul converted on a rebound in the 23rd minute of extra time to earn the Whitecaps a 1-1 draw with the Montreal Impact and a 2-1 aggregate victory.

The two will play at Vancouver on May 18 in the first leg before heading to Toronto's BMO Field on May 25 to decide the winner of the Voyageurs Cup and a berth in the CONCACAF Champions League.

Yep, that was a much, much better performance. Plata and Eckersley looked great, IMO.

6 goals conceded in one match!?!?! Are you kidding me? That's like a pro team giving up 15 in a hockey game... WOW.

Yesterday's game was simply embarrassing.

Is there any owner of teams in multiple pro sports that has the record of futility that MLSE has?

....and yet there were still 20000+ fans in attendence lol. Ppl complain but when it comes down to it there are plenty of Torontonians who are only happy to shell out their dough for some 2nd rate entertainment.

3rd rate entertainment for 1st rate prices.... ffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu.

I know this post is like a week old but seriously, it's pretty clear that we haven't been near 20+k in the stadium since 2009. The "official" numbers are quite hilarious. You hear them announce the attendance of the PA and you have a look around.... it's delusional.

You can easily get tickets for half face value, and even multiple tickets for free on gamedays.... and these are the tickets people used to pay double face value for in 2007/2008.... myself included.
