Haven't followed the team lately, has Frings made any difference? He was always a defensive minded midfielder so guessing he can still play despite his age.
Maybe ticket prices (for the side seats) will go down next year if this trend continues or is that too much to ask?
I would prefer the signing of in-form players who can make an impact rather than big names like Frings. The team has a fan base and doesn't need big names as much as guys who'll actually help them win.
Frings Hasn't played yet, he and Koevermans haven't been eligible to play. Wednesday will be the first game they're eligible to play.
Frings was the best player on the pitch in the first half but you could see the lack of fitness affect both him and Koevermans as the match went on. Both players are used to starting pre-season now so its not expected that they be in mid-season form. Hopefully, it doesn't take long.
Iro looked like a bit of a hothead. I think his physicality could be good for us but it could cost us as well with no discipline. We need a CB who can pass....
I think that our midfield game was very good, Frings really made a difference and I can imagine him back there with De Guzman and maybe our poor ball movement on the back line can be compensated for.
Koevermans will be a beast when he's fit. We still are in desperate need of a playmaking mf.
I like the system Winter wants to use, I like it a lot. It is proven all over the world but I'm not sure he should be using it until he gets more key positions and roles filled.
Anyways, even though they lost, they looked better than usual and I imagine some chemistry could help turn the ship around
Yeah my fav is Plata (let's see if Johnson can keep this play up). Everything to love about that guy: Incredibly skilled, great work ethic, seems like a good team player.
Also I couldn't help but smile last night. As much as that ref tried his hardest to get Real Esteli to win, they just couldn't pull it out for him. Probably went home and cried in his Real Esteli jersey later
