Bourque was apparently moved up to the first line during practice. But yes I agree give Backlund a chance after his performance last game.

Moss couldn't put any weight on his right foot as he was helped to the dressing room. Apparently left with crutches.

Doesn't sound good. 3 others also missed practise. Glenny(expecting his child any day now), Jokinen(flu) and Modin(maintenance/back). Be interesting to see if anyone gets the call up today or tomorrow morning.

If Moss can't go hopefully they give Backlund some more icetime. He was flying last game and I want nothing to do with a Bourque-Tanguay-Iginla line.

Move Jokinen to the first line, he was a former 1st line center...

he works his @ss off every single game and he was being rewarded with having the 1st line center job and now this... hopefully he can be back a.s.a.p

I've said this before, in the limited time that Backlund has played with Iggy this season the two have looked pretty good together as far as chemistry. Also when Backlund and Tanguay were also on the PK together they were getting some good short handed chances. I would at least try out for a couple of games at times to see how it goes. We know Jokinen has performed best when he is the main guy on his line, and Backlund is a skilled creative player and should compliment Iggy and Tangs. And Stajan is where he should be.

Oh hellll noooooooooo

I'm currently restraining myself, but Jokinen needs to stay as far as possible away from that first line if you want to win.

I think either Stajan or Backlund have to fill the void at centre. Jokinen has found a groove on the 2nd line with Glenner and Moss/Bourque and we should keep it that way, although theyve been quiet lately.

I'm not sure whether to put Stajan or Backlund up on the first line. Both could work, both could not.

Please don't put Tanguay at center, winning one third of the faceoffs will have the first line chasing all night.

The Heat have Bouma listed as a center, will he center the fourth line?

Tang-B/S-Iginla
Glencross-Jokinen-Bourque
Hagman-B/S-Jackman
Kostopoulos-Bouma- ?

Who's the question mark here? Neimsz? It doesn't seem like Modin is good to go. Or good at all.

But wouldn't it be better than having Bourque - Tanguay - Iginla or Tanguay - Backlund - Iginla.

Tanguay as a center wasn't really working.

Backlund centering the first line, im not sure hes ready...

**** NO!

I would much rather take the chance on Backlund than let Stajan play first line.

I think Stajans all round game has been very good for most of the year. His only problem is that his lack of top line skill or talent has been revealed. Stajan can win draws for us and get the puck to the talents players so they can make things happen. That is all we need right now.

Backlund turned out to be pretty clutch in the big games he played towards the end of the season last year. Put him on with Iggy and Tangs and see what he can do.

Terrible news. Hope he can make it back soon. Next to Jackman, he's been one of the most consistent forwards.

Wondering if Flames will make a call to Abbotsford. Or will they slide Staios up, and plug Mikkelson on D?

I don't think we have a damn clue.

If were to bet I would guess Stajan. He's not the sexy pick (Backlund) but he's probably the most dependable.

stajan plays not bad onthe top line.. but he doesnt have the hands to hang in with tangs and iggy.. he misses so much chances when he plays with them than somehow manages to mooch a point or two
