After Brent maybe Sjostrom will be Wilson's 3rd lover.

The PP has sucked all season. It's just a new spin on the same old tale.

I've never understood why they don't just play an umbrella formation, with each winger ready to drive the net when the shot comes.

You can have Kessel at one side, Phaneuf at the other, and whomever you trust to move the puck around in the middle. But then again, not many teams use it now, so maybe there's something I'm not seeing out there.

gunnerson can play the point , try lupul with armstrong in front of net.
i'm sure you guys can come up with other changes to get the pp going
Seriously? The ONLY reason (I would think) that Brent is playing the point is because he's done it before in the AHL. Not saying that it would've worked in the first place but he has EXPERIENCE. We don't have the assets to have a better pointman. We can put in Gunnarsson and I agree, he's pretty good at it too but if we put both Gunnarsson and Phaneuf on one team, the first team you'll have Brent and Lebda on the other.

Does that sound good to you?

Wilson has tried a whole lot of things and nothing works. A new plan works at the beginning and then falters. He works with what he has. I don't like Wilson but it doesn't help when you don't have a lot of assets in the first place.

I don't like Wilson but come on, the PP has been bad the whole time. I'd like to blame it all on him if I could but it doesn't help that we technically don't have a PMD.

Don't worry I miss Kabby too and was against trading him even tho we got what we got. If Boston resigns him we got fleeced IMO.

Is it that obvious? lol. But I wouldn't say we got fleeced if Kabby resigns. We got what are good assets for the future. Colborne, while needs to do work, we got good competition for Kadri. Not to mention that first rounder that may or may not turn out AND that second (or was it a third?

We got future assets while Boston gets that PPQB they needed. I like Boston so it'd be nice to see Kabby and them win the cup (is it really wishful thinking?).

Anyways, we may be struggling right now on the PP but there are lots of bright spots in the future. I'm trying to think positive. We got guys like Gardiner and Blacker in the system who could be great for our PP. I think our problems are puck movement and the transition to get into the zone. But hey, it's the ending of the season. Let Wilson do whatever he wants. Just as long as we don't fall into the bottom five, I'll be happy.

Conditional 2nd in 2012 on the condition that the Bruins either make it to the cup final or resign Kaberle.

Thanks, I knew the condition, didn't remember if it was a second or a third.

just need to start shooting through legs... deflections. Use our size and feisty attitude in front of the nets. Lupul, Brown, Sjostrom need to bother opposing goalies. Gunns looked great tonight, bright spot tonight.

I'm pretty sure the problem with our powerplay is that we just don't have enough talent up front. For as offensively gifted as Kessel is he really needs a playmaking centre to feed him the puck in good shooting locations, all he seems to do now is curl around on the half boards and snap shots at the net, which almost always seem to get blocked. It's kinda dumb to blame the coach... there's only so much he can do with what he has.

Also, we've only given up 7 more goals on the PK than we've scored on the PP, not terrible all things considered. Much, much better than last year were we would lose games purely through our PK sucking.
