Sharks 6 - Kings 3: One Last Game Left

Turning point was when Doughty got mad, again, and took himself out of the game stupidly. We were beating the 5-on-5 and then we gave them ice, and we loss.

Richardson was great. Clifford was great. Simmonds was great. Mitchell has played his heart out this series. Quick saved this team in the first and was let down in the last two periods. Brown hasn't done crap since Game 1, but his two line mates are terrible so I can't blame him. Williams and Smyth are playing well, but one is injured and the other is old.

Onto Game 5 in San Jose. Not going to be fun, fun, fun.

If the hockey gods are real, this series really should go 6. We aren't going to beat them, but we deserve to at least not be taken out in 5. This series has been too close for it to be so one sided that it ends in only 5.

Dean needs to do everything in his power to sign Brad Richards this summer. Looking at our veterans except for Mitchell/Smyth/Williams, they all have been pretty awful.

Positives: This doesn't really hurt at all after Game 3. It was expected. I did not expect the great comeback in the 2nd, but once again, our mentality sucked and we folded in the 3rd.

I would like to see Bernier next game.
Not saying that all the goals were Quick's fault.

Im more ashamed of some of the so called 'fans' on this site than i am of people to do with the kings organization.

To look at the positives from the game. That 3rd line can be a sick 3rd/4th line if kept together for a couple of seasons. Hopefully to the point where the Kings 3rd line in 3 years time is Clifford-Schenn-Simmonds with Loki on the 2nd

After this series so far, I am now a Westgarth fan. He plays so much harder than most of the forwards. he has seriously impressed me, he hasnt looked lost, he hasn't been exposed defensivly, he has generated offence, he has been a nuisance, he has kept the Sharks tough guys in check

We're not going after Richards, I don't think we have the cap space to do so. I expect 1 major trade and maybe another, couple with Schenn and Lotki on the team next season.

He will. Who is going to take on his contract?

And he has played well this series. He is old and slow, but he's been trying his hardest and been controlling the behind-the-net surface. He has been cycling well and had some great passes.

Zeus, on the other hand, could be dead for all we know and not notice.

Smyth isn't the problem. He is one of the few putting in the work and playing with passion. He will be with the Kings next year, and may even be beyond. Hopefully our depth chart makes it on the third line and as a special teams specialist.
