Yeah just thought it was random considering all the rumors flying around involving Liles and Stastny and such.

If someone were willing to take on Drury's contract, would the deal not go through because of his injury?

Yeah. Just saying they may have a spot open even with Rivet added.

Because I remember a few years back Olaf Kolzig to TOR did not go through because of a similar situation. (or it may have been some other reason; not sure)

Not if the other team still ok'd the deal.

Sulzer was just traded to Florida and he is injured right now. They still made the deal because the Florida doctors looked at him and they were receiving what they thought they were.

Anyone else scoreboard watching tonight?

Meaningful games(bolded who I am rooting for):

DET @ BUF
MTL @ CAR - Looking ahead not behind
PIT @ TOR - See above
WSH @ NYI

Maybe I'm a bit over-confident, but I'd rather see the teams directly ahead of us losing. There is a chance the Rangers can still secure 4th place and home-ice advantage. No way they are catching the Flyers, however.

I can see that, but first I want to gain as much ground as possible on teams like CAR and NJ.

Goligoski just took over the 3rd period of the Stars/Preds game and basically won it for them. Totally lopsided trade, bro.

Awards:
Conklin, Pascal Leclaire, McElhinney all waived.

Isles waive Nathan Lawson, and somewhat surprisingly (to me), Rob Schremp.

If Sather wanted a goon with Boogaard done, DJ King was waived by the Caps.

Hope the Isles destroy the Caps and the Wings crush the Sabres (obviously). Other than that....

NO THREE POINT GAMES.

Doug MacLean ripped Florida pretty hard and Columbus a little bit [2 of his former teams] on HockeyCentral tonight especially the attempt to trade Weiss a 3 Million guy and a 60 pt player . He also tried to get McCabe , via a ph conversation , to agree with him on the way things are in Florida but McCabe did not bite ...although he said , " there must be a method to the madness " .

Also of note on the show was that Calgary would part with Bouwmeester [sp ?] and that MacLean compared Schenn to be possibly the next Mike Richards .

* I corrected a wrong quote .

Personally I hate seeing any anthem done half azzed or by some rock star/celebrity. I prefer to hear it sung correctly by a professional with class without the embellishments . Call me old fashioned in that way .
