How can you use one period of a four game season series to conclude the Flames are the better team? Remember, the 'Yotes swept Calgary this year. I think that is far more telling than one period.

I have always been a fan of the Flames, and always will be. But they are not a better team than the 'Yotes. Regardless of how you feel they look on paper.
you mean Bryz swept calgary. dude's a machine, it seemed like almost every time we played the yotes, the flames would be all over them, bryz would keep it tied, and yotes would score some fluke goal and kill the momentum

No, the Flames are a better team. And I am not using just one period of logic, I am using the whole season. Calgary has a much more talented team, period. No one has to be a brain surgeon to be able to tell that the Coyotes are lacking in talent. Have the Coyotes out played the Flames this year, absolutely. But that doesn't mean that they are better team. Every time these two teams have played this season, the Flames have run into a wall of a goaltender and have been unable to muster offence. The Flames have had much better success generating offence against much better than the Coyotes this season. The difference is the system that Phoenix plays is very effective against the Flames and they are able to perform very well against them. If Calgary were to play their game over a full period of 60 minutes, then I have no doubt that the Flames would win more times than lose against Phoenix.

I am not knocking Phoenix, they are an extremely well coached team. That and their goalie is the reason why they have had success over the last 2 seasons. It is not because talent wise they are blowing teams away.
