Part of me wanted to see Buffalo win it in shootout. We have been winning so I'm not too worried about Buffalo behind us, but I would rather keep Jersey a fair ways back and toronto even further back (hate the leafs with a passion being from Toronto)

lulz Buffalo

Really like that Geoffrion kid. He's gonna be a fantastic player for Nashville. 6 goals in 11 games.

It's great to see Buffalo lose in OT, though I'm still hoping we somehow make a run for 6th, which is why I'm pissed that Montreal is currently destroying Minny.

Just getting to the POs would satisfy me at this point, especially considering that not too long ago we were like 1 pt clear of 9th. But I wouldn't want to face Washington in the first round in that 2-7 matchup. As of late they've been the best team in the East you can just tell they're not ****ing around this year and after last year's collapse against MTL they're going to be out to shed that choker label. Plus factor in those two embarassing blowouts we handed them earlier in the season, this Caps team is going to be very difficult for us to beat.
Not exactly that ideal matchup everyone has been asking for around here.

If we want any chance of getting 6th and playing Boston in the first round, the next 2 games against FLA and OTT are MUST wins.

We are good right now, we want to seperate ourselves from buffalo, who cares who is the 8th seed. We wouldnt face them to the ECF if it went that far anyways.

Ill be rooting for jersey on tuesday, because I think that we have a better chance at catching Boston, than the Devils do at catching us.

We could be 4 points behind BOS, and 3 behind MTL after tuesday. Lets catch someone.

Holy crap Crawford!!!

Like 3 great saves in 6 shots by the 'Yotes in a period of 90 seconds. (That's what it looked like, I half-paid attention.)

Boston has 2 games in hand on us. We aren't catching them. Rather see the debbies lose.

I know that, but the devils are 10 points behind us, they aren't catching us. Boston has not been playing that good lately, and we have 2 very winnable games, then a game at BOS. Who knows if we win the next 2 and are up to 86 points, the game against BOS could be huge.

Just my logic, I like to look ahead, not behind.

Definitely. Chicago's defense really broke down at the end there. Great save on Whitney's breakaway than another on a blast from the slot.

Just thinking out loud here but I just realized that the Minnesota Wild really don't get enough flack as an organization. They are based in possibly the best American hockey market with tons of Minnesota raised players having success in the NHL and that team is really kind of a joke. Are they even in a rebuilding period or are they just completely mismanaged?

I don't know, I just think it would be good for that city to have an entertaining, successful hockey team.

Definitely gonna be a 3 pointer knowing our luck.

Even though I'm one that always looks ahead in the standings, it's better that the Habs win. Without the tiebreaker, it would be extremely tough to catch them so it's better we get closer to locking up a spot and 7th.

Agree. Lets make playoffs first. Prefer teams below us losing.

But yeah that has a 3 point game written all over it.

He is. The guy is 40 and plays like he's 25. It's simply amazing.

Watching him regularly is the best thing I've found in Southern California.

While I don't disagree that they are idiots, why is it bad that they are chanting in another building? Have we never chanted in the Isles building?

Speaking of the ole ole, I absolutely LOVED it when we started mocking them with that on Friday

At the age of 40, Selanne has more points than anyone on this team, and he missed some games due to injury. That's remarkable. Kinda makes me wonder how Jagr would perform in the NHL now as he is almost 40.
