Not to mention the triple whammy...no Landeskog or similar stud. That's the best part of all from my perspective.

I wonder when Lou decides to lose that 1st rounder.

Can you imagine if the Devils finish bottom-10 for the next two years and Lou keeps the pick, and then in year 4 they are the worst in hockey and have to lose it?

That attempt was weak, almost as weak as St. Louis's spin-o-rama. Let the Habs win tonight, and we win tomorrow.

That was an awful last attempt. I think even Price was a little caught off guard by how bad it was.

We're 7 points behind MTL. Even if we beat them, I think the 6th seed is a bit of a pipe dream.

I gotta figure this is likely as low as they will finish in the next few seasons. But I do wonder when they will decide to give up the pick. The whole they get to choose thing is just another reason the NHL leadership is totally lame. They should have simply lost this one, end of story.

Yeah, at this point we should just worry about finishing in the top 8. It's going to take all we've got just to accomplish that.

What kills us is we don't have the tie breaker on anybody. It's basically an 8 point deficit since we have to leap em.

definitely doesn't help but it isn't like montreal wasn't gonna win again this year. all we can worry about is winning tomorrow night...just keep winning and see what happens.

but i sure like the positive outlook of trying to chase down montreal then the negative outlook of trying to hang on in front of the teams behind us.
