I hope so. If Andy can stay out of the box, maybe he can stay in the line-up. Lilja has been a hack lately, so why not go with Sutton. Added toughness, too. Expecting a strong performance with something to prove. Go big Andy!

Lilja has been playing his worst stretch with us recently. Sutton deserves a shot.

hoping that if Sutton is playing, RC sticks with Sbisa/Beauch and doesnt try Fowler there again. Didnt work once, wont work this time, and no need to break up a great pairing.

Expert in is for 2 reasons - because Lilja has been bad, AND because we are playing the Blues... We have had some interesting games between us lately.

But dunno how good he will look. He havent played for a while.

This.

This.

I've been an avid Lilja over Sutton supporter because for whatever reason Lilja seems to make Fowler feel comfortable. Well, the two have been the worst pairing BY FAR for the past 5 or so games so it is time to give Sutton a try. I think both play the left side normally, so it would be interesting to see who is going to play the right side. Plus, Sutton will probably fight this game if the past games against the Blues are any indicator of how this one is going to play out.

More importantly this. They have been our best pairing IMO for the past 5 or so games and their games compliment each other so well. I think they are a perfect 2nd pairing because they both are physical, pretty good defensively, can move the puck a little, and are both pretty mobile.

Andy Sutton really gets exposed when he plays against a quick team like the Blues. I don't understand Carlyle's reasoning for this move. Lilja has struggled and deserves to sit this game.

im just gonna use a confused face, because you contradict yourself. Even though both points are true. As long as the point of this post wasnt to suggest playing Brookbank.....

There are a ton of Finns here tonight. There's a Finnish couple behind us - we cannot lose!

He is, and he was shaky in warmups.

If we blow this game on the Ray Emery reclamation project......

Sutton touches the puck, first horrible play of the game, leads to scoring chance for the blues.

Geez he left Fowler out to dry in the corner too. He was standing right in front of Emery when Fowler went to retrieve the puck and gave Fowler no option to pass...could be a long night.
